Some say that Love is evil. We say if you spell love backwards its evol. Our Strawberry Jalapeno brown represents that notion with the love of strawberries and the evil nature of Jalapenos. Leaving some seeds in and some seeds out we balance the spiciness and flavor of the Jalapenos to meld well with the strawberries and brown ale. Using earthy English hops combined with some traditional American ones weve created something special for your tongue. So dont be shy and tell us did you find love or evol?

The combination of jalepeno and strawberry was the closest flavor to freezer burn that I can contemplate. This beer was awful. Body was average, which made the hottness and bad flavor linger on the lips and tongue.

From notes: Poured hazy nut-brown, with a 3-finger light tan head. Aroma of jalapeno, with some sweet strawberry underneath. Body is medium and lightly oily. Lightly roasty, nutty flavor that gives way to some heat from the peppers. Didn’t get any of the strawberry in the flavor at all, which could have balanced the pepper if it was more notable.

On tap. Pours a medium brown body color with a two finger of white head and decent lacing. Only thing to smell is the overpowering aroma of the peppers. The faint taste of fruit is there and gone, and quickly changes and finishes with the peppers. Medium bodied, and well carbonated

Musty aroma. Taste is a very artificial berry flavor, slightly metallic with a rather unpleasant metal fruity aftertaste. I get a tiny hit of green pepper in the mix; there’s almost no spice to it. Bell Pepper != Jalapeno. Interesting, but disappointing.

Bottle at MFF compliments of Taylor, pours reddish purple with light head. Aromas of strawberry, green pepper, Belgian spice. Taste is peppers, dark fruits, plum, wood, and malt. One of the most interesting beers I have had from them but nothing I would try again.

Bottle shared by Taylor. Aroma is strawberry, overripe brown apple and red apple peel. Pours garbage brown with ugly green shades and a scattered head. Taste was ok with similar apple peel and strawberry taste. The jalepenos serve nothing but to give this a bitter unpleasant taste. There is no heat present. Real let down.

Bottle at the BNA 8 party at World Cafe Live Philadelphia Huge over carbonation issues from the bottle pours mostly foam. Strawberry tartness light caramel malt and some jalapeno heat. Muddles flavors almost work together but I’m not sure if this is the way it was ment to taste or not.

(Draught) Pours a murky brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of jalapeno, strawberry, and caramel. Flavor of strawberry, caramel, roasted grain, cocoa, jalapeno, nuts, and some earth. Interesting.

Not sure why this isn’t classed as a fruit or an herb/spice/vegetable, but to begin this has a vegetal aroma. It pours an opaque ruddy brown, with no head. The flavor is more jalapeno than strawberry, with a touch of heat in the finish. Not really able to detect much else besides the jalapeno flavor, very little roasted notes, and almost no sweetness. It’s an interesting one, not sure if I’ll be going out of my way to get this again.
