COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Some say that Love is evil. We say if you spell love backwards its evol. Our Strawberry Jalapeno brown represents that notion with the love of strawberries and the evil nature of Jalapenos. Leaving some seeds in and some seeds out we balance the spiciness and flavor of the Jalapenos to meld well with the strawberries and brown ale. Using earthy English hops combined with some traditional American ones weve created something special for your tongue. So dont be shy and tell us did you find love or evol?

You can barely taste the strawberry, which to me is a good thing. The jalapeno character comes through but not at all spicy. I adds more of an earthy/doughy character that works well with the brown ale style, but with a peppery aftertaste.

On draft at Capones. Pours a very dark brown cola color with a small light beige head. Aroma of brown nuts, hints of coffee, jalapenos and a touch of strawberries. Taste of cocoa powder, jalapenos, nuts and a slight hint of strawberries. Strawberries come out as it warms up. Tasty.

Nice and spicy with a little funk, almost like they could pull this off as a jalapeno saison, in a good way. Nice picnic beer. Reminder... you do get little heat on this one. Nice brew.

Draft at Capone’s. Poured a deep brown with muddy lighter brown edges. Aroma of jalapenos, toast and chocolate malt. Flavor is very similar with notes of peppers, chocolate, toast and brownies. Medium bodied with strong carbonation and slight pepper heat throughout. Pretty good, I guess if you add peppers to almost anything I’m bound to like it.

Bottle from Canal’s. pours out a nice reddish hued brown color with a medium off white head with lots of carbonation. Aroma is of fresh strawberry jam, caramel, toffee, some earthy jalapeño notes and light brown sugar. Taste is well balanced, caramel malts, strawberry jam, jalapeño spice that lingers on the back end with a light touch of bitterness on the finish. Different but I kind of like it.

Dark brown color with aroma of jalepeno and caramel with a hint of strawberry. Caramel and fruit up front but dominated by the jalapeno ending. Actually, liked this beer though huge quantities of it would be difficult with the jalapeno

Bottle at MFF compliments of Taylor, pours reddish purple with light head. Aromas of strawberry, green pepper, Belgian spice. Taste is peppers, dark fruits, plum, wood, and malt. One of the most interesting beers I have had from them but nothing I would try again.

sample at EBF, hmmm, a strawbeery jalapeno brown ale. Well it was executed well, and i like spice, was a brown ale the best base to pick? probably not, but the sweet spicy combo did very well. Interesting beer,

Draught at Capone’s: Aroma of malt, chocolate, slight jalapeno, and a hint of hops. Poured very dark brown in color with a small, tan head that disappeared except for around the edges. Opaque. Not sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, and lightly spicy. Tastes of malt, chocolate, light jalapeno, and some grain. Medium body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Malt, chocolate, and light jalapeno finish.
