Great flavor, slight nutty but enough to make it worth the name. Rich creamy feel, but easy to drink. Not too heavy.

On tap at Bertucci's. Poured a black color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of lots of hazelnuts with some coffee and roast. Tastes of the same if you like hazelnuts, you should like this one.

UPDATED: APR 29, 2013 Black bodied, moderate sized brown head, spotty lacing. A bit raw, with nuts, caramel, roast and coffee. Medium bodied, more carbonation needed. Ok.

Backlogged from notes. Draft at Capone’s Black Friday event. Aroma is hazelnut coffee but only if it had been distilled into a syrup and amplified a thousand times. Very strong. Pours ugly red brown with a nice head. Taste is nothing but sticky sweet hazelnut coffee. It is cloying and offensive and has no subtlety whatsoever. I couldn’t finish my 4oz sampler. The only way to like this beer is to be obsessed with hazelnut coffee and then want a concentrated elixer. Not good.

Tap at Capone’s. Dark brownish black pour with tan head. Nose was huge coffee, roasted malt, with big black coffee and spicy jalapeno oil flavors in the flavor. This one is like a Bell’s Java Junior. Warning, though, if you do not like coffee beers, you won’t like this.

On tap at brewpub. Pours cola brown with a tan creamy head. Aroma of coffee and hazelnut. Creamy mouth feel with lots of coffee flavor, hazelnut and roasted malt round out the flavor. Very nicely done.

Nitro pour at Capone’s during Black Friday. Poured a pitch black silky body with a lightly creamy beige head. Aroma is hazelnut coffee though and through. The body is smooth but there is not even a trace of carbonation or nitrogenation or any type of bubbles. The hazelnut in the flavor is a bit more subdued then in the aroma, toast, light roastiness and coffee. This could honestly pass as hazelnut coffee, good stuff.
