COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When the sun starts to shine bright – it’s time to find something shady. Our Blond is one hell of a thirst quencher. The Blood Oranges add just a touch of tartness that enhances the dry feeling of this beer. The 4.5% ABV means you can drink it all day long. This is THE beer for summer. No Wit or Pils about it.

Bottle. Light fruit, citrus, grass, hops. Huge foam was attacking me throughout the drink. It was very airy. Not sure what was happening but it was too late in the night to do anything about so I guess I had to settle for drinking air. Flavor wasn’t bad though.

Another sample in a small cup at the Collegeville Wegmans. Like I said with the Par Tea, this review will have to suffice until I can get to the brewery to taste it again. The Shandy Blonde poured a clear dark yellow color with very little head. The nose was all fruit, mostly grapefruit and oranges. The body is very light and fruity, with notes of oranges, light hops, grass and yeast.

Sampled at AC Beerfest (2014). Poured a hazy yellow color with a small foamy white head. Aroma of sweet sugary orange slices, lemon zest, and wheat. Taste of lucky charms cereal??, orange starburst, lemon zest, and wheat.

sample at EBF, ah a blood orange beer. Tastes just like orange juice, very light and a very easy drinker. A little tart is overwhelmed by the orange sweetness but its ok.

From notes: Poured hazy straw color with a 3-finger white head. Nice, light aroma of orange, with a touch of orange peel. Body is light and mildly oily, with a tart bite to the finish. Flavor of (blood) orange and orange peel. Some citrusy hops notes underneath as well. Refreshing, a good choice for hot weather.

12oz bottle from Buy Rite Silverton. Poured an unimpressive slightly hazy nectar gold with a minimal white frothy head. Aroma is the best part if this beer, ruby red grapefruit segments, medium toast, grains and a touch of soap with some warmth. Medium mouthfeel with strong carbonation. Flavor is a big drop off from the aroma, notes of blood orange, toast, seltzer, ruby red grapefruit. Drinkable but needs some work.

Bottle. Nose is quite potently filled with fresh oranges, really fleshy and vivid, just a little wheat underneath. Hazy, cloudy golden body with a soapy bright white head. Taste is semi-dry with light-medium but memorably rubbery bitterness, main flavor component the oranges: flesh, pith, and rind. Little bit of a mineral quality about, and a coating feel. Refreshes well enough but seems a tad heavy. Haven’t had a beer like this before, which really is saying something at this point.
