Very clear does not look like much. Almost like a commercial basic pilsener but but it is cleaner and more refreshing.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUN 2, 2006 bottle. wow, this is actually an excellently refreshing pilsener. italy doesn’t usually do beer well, just like france...but the good stuff is very good! extraordinarily clean for such a clear yellow liquid, with a flavor that brings to mind thoughts of rolling italian hills that would otherwise be covered with grapes. i could drink a helluva lot of this.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tastes like Polish though Italian. Beer is not their specialty. Substandard pils. Tastes similar to many others. Refreshing, like water tho.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Light golden pils with a creamy white head. Sweet malt with maple-ish notes. In mouth, the malt is dryer and crisper, with nice german style hops. Some maderisation noted, as bottle is almost a year old. Medium bodied, well balanced. A very decent pils.33 cL Bottle from Beers of the World in Rochester, New York

At Brickskeller, Wash DC, 9/2/05: Clear yellow with a huge head. Musty malt dominates. Dusty ... not that good.

bottle, no dating. Poured a golden yellow with fluffy white head. Smelled mild malts, and maybe a trace of hop. Taste was balanced, a bit of malt, then trace hops, lingering after taste , smootrh, and the carbination was excellent. I liked this.

Golden very clear appearance. Slight
maltiness and a light hoppy flavour.Low carbonisation makes it a reasonable pils.

What qualifies a good pilsener? Can it not be brewed in a southern Europe locale such as Italy? Is it too easy to rely on preconceived notions when it comes to rating small beers?
A varigated foam lives on top of this beer, it moves with the golden liquid underneath and forms furry patches of stark white as you drink. Bouquet is all oat cereal rings in almond rice milk adorned with miniature circus peanuts. When you speak of balanced, fermented beverages this one has to be held up there with the best. A mild and creamy sweetness flits directly into a running herbal, tinny vibe and your senses are awash in what beer is. I mean, christ this is a better pilsener than most I’ve had fresh in Germany. Next time it will be drunk from a Rothaus glass. This beer deserves it.
