COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prohibition Lawless IPA ia an uncompromising, overly hopped, ale inspired by the 1920ís brews that sat in underground tunnels and rail-cars destined for dry countries. This IPA attacks your taste buds with a crisp and hoppy profile that was demanded in the blind pigs and speakeasies of days gone by. Prohibitionís complex, refreshing, honest flavors are craft brewed in small batches at a small unassuming brewery in British Columbia, Canada. Only the finest ingredients including pristine Canadian water and Cascade hops are used to deliver a beer so good youíd ask for it even if it was prohibited.

Bomber - dark gold with a soapy head, some lacing, not really hoppy at all. Has a metallic taste and thin.

On tap at Prohibition, pours a clear copper with a medium beige head. Aroma is pretty sharp on the hops, with a bit of a medicinal quality. Flavour is quite hoppy and vibrant, with notes of pine and resin, fruitiness, and biscuity malt. Well-balanced and drinkable. Their best beer.

Slightly hazy deep orange with a big rocky tan head that leas a lot of lace. Pine and citrus with a good helping of honey and toffee on the nose. Sweet start with a lot of chewy cascade bitterness. Medium mouth and carbonation but finish is a bit watery and metallic. One dimensional

Golden amber. Aroma is slightly woody cascades, maybe a bit of chewy maltiness. Earthy front then limey, berryish character I would not normally associate with cascades. Bit light on the bitterness and the finish is a bit quick, but it isnít bad.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2014 pours topaz with a long lasting, fluffy white head. Aromas include grapefruit, oranges, and some pine and caramel sweetness. The nose is more appealing than the flavors. Not a whole lot going on. Nicely bitter but kind of watery mouthfeel. Just ok.

Rating #1022 - Must have missed this one, definitely got a sample bottle from the vendor rep. Pours a hazy copper orange with a fairly frothy head. spotty lacing. Aroma is honey, doughy malt and sweet sweet citrus, tangerine, lemon. Great sticky-bun malt character here, lots of sweetness tempered by this dry-hopped northwest style IPA, lots of sticky bitter notes in the finish. Nice.

Golden-amber color, just hazy, with creamy persistent head. Very nice aroma, fruity hops, citrus fruits, hint of tropical fruits and chamomile.
Smooth mouthfeel; the malt, caramel and toffee flavor is not bad; impression of grains and raw malt; the strong hopping provides nice chamomile and orange character; lean and long final, with a caramel presence along with the hop resins.
Good IPA, although more hop freshness is expected when drinking it in-house.

2013-12-28, bottle from Boundary Crossing Liquor Store, Vancouver, 6-4-7-3-13=33
Hazy golden color with generous compact head. The malt is a bit toffeeish, the hops mildly resiny, very lightly fruity and grassy; correct body; expected bitterness level.
Clean but rather simple.

Bottle. Clear golden pour. Nose pretty tamed - some light citrus and grassy notes. Taste has more of a malt profile..hops aren't too prominent. Caramel biscuit malts. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very cool bottle; definitely a keeper for the wall. Always like seeing this kind of effort put onto bottles. Anyway, onto the important bit; the beer itself. Pours a fairly rich, clear gold colour with a lacy white head that is putting in a lasting effort. Nose is hops, a bit on the metallic side. Flavour starts off with a good hit of more hops, but quickly shifts to metallic, slight sweetness on the brief finish. Not exactly a stellar offering.
