This is an amazingly full flavored Rye Ale featuring two types of Rye in the mash and dry hopped with Centennial and Cascade hops.  This ale features a ridiculously creamy mouthfeel and amazingly balanced hop and chocolate rye notes.

On tap at Proof. Pours a dark brown with an off tan heady top. Aroma is chocolaty with malt notes. Taste is a pleasant bitterness with a definite chocolate taste. The hops come through nice. Overall a great debut beer.

Draft at the brewery as Rye Project. Dark, amber- brown color with a lasting white head. Sweet malty aroma. Sweet caramel flavor and hint of coffee with a little rye spice in the finish. Nice to see something other than a rye IPA.

Swing top to taster at the RBWG Grand Tasting (thanks James). Looks good; a semi-opaque brown with thin light beige lacing. Smells of dark fruit with a hint of rye. Tastes like it smells with a good mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

Brown pour with no head. Aroma is rye malt, and some earthy hops. Sweet caramel malt and some resiny hops. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Not a bad beer.

Growler at RBwG 2013 Grand Tasting. Pours clear brown with a fine, foamy white head. Nice piney hop nose, some ripe citrus. Medium sweet flavor, light dry pine, toasty bread, orange and grapefruit, hints of spicy rye. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, light piney resins, ripe orange and grapefruit. Really tasty stuff.
