Aroma was roasted malt, and chocolate. Taste was very much highlighting the bitter side of chocolate. A bit grainy in the mouthfeel.

UPDATED: MAR 9, 2013 Pours an opaque brownish-black on tap with frothy brown head that dissipates to leave light lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, and chocolate. Taste is the malt and coffee up front, with a sweet cocoa flavor on the back end. Good stuff, the cocoa mellows the coffee and roasted malt notes. Very thick on the mouth and heavy on the stomach, but very good on a cold night.

On draft at Cigar City. Pours a dark stout brown with a tan head. Nose is roasted malt, black coffee, slight licorice, dark chocolate, and some mild coffee bitterness. Flavor follows closely- big roasted malts, chocolate, earth, and some coffee. Medium in body and lingering earthy bitterness in the finish. A damned fine stout overall.

Deep, rich roasty aroma, very light creosote, trailing Hershey Bar sweetness. Menacing, dark brown head, opaque. Nice, real nice. Bitter dark chocolate, coffee roast, tangy, moderately sweet. A little sour fruit when it warms. Smoldering roast finish, a wee bit burnt, strongly cofeeish, starts to cling if you swill it too fast. Medium heavy mouthfeel. On tap, @ Proof
