Nice full bodied porter. Black pour. Lots of charred, ashy aromas. The taste was more subdued with chocolate and coffee. Still very roasty. Nice.

Of the Proof regulars this is probably my favorite. Itís got the complexity I look for from a porter but itís very well balanced.

Draft - Roast malts and a little coffee. Jet black with a thin brown head. Roast malts and some slight burnt grains. Finish is bitter and dry. Average.

Pours a rich, deep brown. Nice creamy tan head and pretty good lacing. The aroma isnít too bad: heavily roasted malt and charred oak. The flavor is a deep roasty sweetness. Some earthy woodiness. Silky-silty mouthfeel, nice full body, and low-medium carbonation.

Fruity, olivine aroma with very light creosote. INky. Tan head. Very smooth, lightly sweet, a bit fruity. Generally, just a clean and rich beer. Roasty finish. Good drinking. Dark cocoa very apparent in the finish. Proof, on Tap w/PorterPounder.

Pours a nice opposite brownish black on tap with fluffy tan head that laces nicely. Aroma of roasted malt, hints of soy, and English yeast esters. Taste follows, add some dark chocolate. Thick on the mouth for a porter, very nice.

10/18/13. On tap at PBC. Nice dark pour with a nice tan head. Nice aroma with some ash, char, chocolate, and coffee. Even better flavor with smooth chocolate, nice coffee aspect, some caramel character, mild fruitiness. Tasty.

Tallahassee, Fl - on tap at Proof. Inky black pour, sticky mocha colored head, nice thick lacing. Aroma has some chocolate accents, hints of coffee, very roasty. Flavor has some creosote, heavy chocolate, espresso notes, and an earthy finish. Nice dry chalky mouthfeel. Rather enjoyed this one.

Pours a very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma has notes of roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Taste was chocolate with a slight smokey/burnt taste. Overall an enjoyable beer.
