Found a rating note for this (and have had many of the versions since) - not sure what was different, but here you go: on the malty side, toast, caramel, light orange citrus 7.0

PorterPounder (5471) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 12, 2012
Tallahassee, Fl - on tap at the brew pub - from notes of an earlier visit in August 12. Pours a deep dark copper, sticky khaki colored head that leaves nice, thick lacing. Strong, fresh sprucy aroma with some fresh floral notes. The flavor has a nice bitter edge to it with requisite grapefruit bitterness and some nuttiness thrown in for good measure and just a hint of minty goodness. Very fresh. Thick, sticky mouthfeel. Solid entry.

rbrazell (1629) - Charleston, South Carolina, USA - AUG 8, 2012
UPDATED: AUG 9, 2012 Treated version on draft on the brewery. Nose is stinky cat pee, dank hops and tropical fruits with a touch of malt. Smooth slightly sweet entry fades into strong floral and spicy hops with a solid bitter finish. A bit of astringent character. Not too shabby.

jbruner (2296) - Athens, Georgia, USA - AUG 3, 2012
Pours a darker amber color on tap with thin tan head and good lacing. Aroma is fresh, malty notes, followed by piney and floral hops. Taste is nice and well balanced, with an almost english style IPA feel, with a good bitter finish. Overall very solid attempt and will be great with the different treatments.
