3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This was a special beer. Several Berliners brewed around the same time, earlier this year. I remember it pouring a deep reddish purple color with pinky red head. Smell was of the berry and tartness of the yeast used. Great mouthfeel and taste!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draft at Berliner Bash, poured a cloudy pink color with some dloaties, aromas of light berries, wheat and some lactic notes. Flavors were tart strawberries, wheat, a smidge of aour in the aftertaste. Refreshing and light on the palate overall, I could drink this over and over again.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Peg’s Cantina during the Berliner Bash 2013 with Linh and Maggi. Pours a hazy reddish pink with no head, light fizzy white lacing. Aroma is reaspberry, grain and lots of wheat. Mouthfeel is a bit more grainy than I’d prefer, with some fruity notes and dry wheat in the finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On draft at Peg’s for Berliner Bash 2013. Pours a hazy red/ pink with a white head. Nose is some berry sweetness, some lactic, and some tart notes. Flavor is similar with lots of berry sweetness melding with the tartness to produce a lovely berry berliner. Light to medium in body and lovely overall.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Proof. Deep pink pour with a white head. Sweet, raspberry syrup aroma with subtle wheat graininess. Lots of raspberry packed into the flavor with more starchy grains with a crisp end. Not bad.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler from Proof. Tried all three of the berliner weissesus when I was there, so doing a tasting of sorts: Reddish pour with a pink tinted white head and light sheets of lacing. Aroma is clearly raspberry with grainy malts in there too. Tastes are lighlty jammy berry and a even background tartness. This was the most drinkable of the three (peach and black currant the others), mildly pleasant, but less going on than the others.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a cloudy pinkish brown on tap with thin ring of white lacy head that sticks to the glass beautifully. Aroma of sweet and tart raspberries and a nice wheat backbone. Taste is a nice tart punch up front that falls quickly to sweet raspberry, almost strawberry flavor, then a lingering wheat note on the back end. Pretty solid, I’m excited for the other two varieties.
