Leuchtende orange-goldene Farbe, feinporiger Schaum.

Bottle 33cl, kindly shared by Calisky. Aroma a clear golden beer with medium head. Nose is low on grain, aroma is on grassy hops, no real fruit notes, nutty, wet paper as for bottom yeast beer, dusty hops, biscuit, no bitterness, very boring, poor.

Bottle for 1,79€ from Rudat. The beer starts fresh and intense floral. Not too sweetish, nice round and fresh. Intense floral piney hops. Smooth sweetish body with a nice intense piney bitter aftertaste. Sticky and round. Great!

Maker: Privatbrauerei Bosch, Bad Laasphe, Germany *** Beer: Propeller Aufwind Double IPA (bottled, 330ml) *** Style: India Pale Ale *** ALC.VOL.: 6.5% *** "A refreshing aroma of floral hops and citrus fruit. Refreshing start, and then the bitter hops kick in. Compact and well-balanced taste. There’s a subtle remaining sweetness that interplays with the hop varieties." [brewery notes, my translation] *** Colour: Deep yellow golden, small and fluffy off-white head. *** Nose: Mild, sweet oranges; medicinal notes, some oft caramel. *** Texture: Medium to full body, a bit oily, very moderate carbonation. *** Taste: Herbs, pine and sweet orange are dominant at the outset. Kickback of bitter hops and pine starts early, as drescribed by the brewery. Finish is the same, but with more generic citrus notes. Long-lasting, bitter pine aftertaste with some resin. *** Impressions: Not bad, but not truly great strong IPA either. It’s lacking in the fruit department, and there is a mildly unpleasant medical note to it from the alcohol. Strong bitter pine in the finish makes up for it somehow. Nowhere near as good as yesterday’s Firestone Union Jack

One-finger white head that thins quickly. Golden orange clear body. Aroma is caramel and burnt toffee. Very sweet. Perhaps a hint of herbal hop character. Flavour is a battle between firm, almost metallic, hop bittering and the malt factors noted in the aroma. Nice low carbonation. Finishes quite dry, but nonetheless a bit too buttery sweet to be a favourite for me.

Clear deep blond beer, creamy irregular off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, sugary, little fruity, honey. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sweet start, some honey, fruity, peaches, soapy. Aftertaste: little bitter, soapy touch, dry, resinous and piny, little impressed.
