albert_007 (409), Penobsquis, New Brunswick, Canada Jan 11, 2007 NIce brown color with well-keeping white-ish head. Aroma of spices, smells like a pumpkin pie. Flavor is much more subdued in the spice department as the aroma would leave you to believe. Nice bitter nutty flavor with touches of cinnamon remaining in the aftertaste. Great.
radiomgb (1761), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Jul 1, 2007 Deep ruby in colour, very thin tan coloured head, no lacing. The aroma is very spicy, lots of cloves, nutmeg, moderatly sweet, some cinnamon and ginger. The flavour is of liquorice, cloves, ginger, molasses and raisins, pepper and cinnamon. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes with some more spice, very long. This is an excellent spiced ale, toasty and very warming. This drinks as if its an 8% beer for sure. A very good winter beer.

mds (2111), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 26, 2007 Bottle. Pours a dark mahogany-auburn body with a creamy off-white head.
The aroma has strong evidence of cinnamon, ginger cookies, and light anise. The body is quite thick and substantive. Lots of flavourful spices as the aroma suggested - cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Some toffee and toasted flavours as well. Very good!
Thanks jerc. mabel (1633), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 28, 2007 [168-20061230] 341mL. Interesting sweetly spiced aroma, hints of malt and cinnamon and Christmas. Clear, deep brown body with a medium-lasting creamy and bubbly off-white head. Flavour is like toasted grainy bread sprinkled with cinnamon with a roasted aftertaste. Medium-light palate, nice round finish. Very Christmas-esque but feels watered down so, happily, nothing is too overpowering. Pours a deep brown with hints of red (reminiscent of Newcastle but not as watery) with an almost non-existent head that diminished quickly. It smells like a gingerbread house in a glass..Nice full mouthfeel with subtle roasty/malty characters to balance out the ginger (which is sitting nicely at the back of my mouth.) I likely have it too warm for the first few sips but it is a nice complex flavour that I can see myself enjoying in front of a fire.
It certainly developed as it warmed. I only wish that I had a few more bottles.
Thanks jerc and well done indeed Propeller! blankboy (2570), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 18, 2007 Bottle courtesy of jerc. Pours a very deep ruby-brown with an average size diminishing off-white head. Aroma: Wow, I like that! Lots of Xmas spices, especially cinnamon, along with gingerbread cookies, some lightly roasted malt, brown sugar and even a hint of chocolate. Flavour follows the aroma but is a little milder and more subtle then the aroma suggests -- still very enjoyable, easy to drink and tasty though. Medium bodied. As GregClow says below, it would be nice to have more "oomph", I like more taste and more alcohol in my Christmas beers but this is still a very good effort on Propeller’s part. Well done!
