Commercial Description:
Nothing refreshes more than this naturally cloudy wheat beer with yeasty aroma and flavours of banana and clove. Propeller Hefeweizen is made with a special weizen yeast, German Noble hops and equal amounts of barley and wheat malts and finished with higher than normal carbonation.

Bottle - thanks to jerc & mabel for passing this along. Cloudy golden with a medium white head that recedes to a thin film that sticks around through the whole glass. Lightly yeasty aroma with hints of lemon and pineapple. Good mouthfeel with a nice level of carbonation. Flavour is a bit muted, but what’s there is pleasant, with nice tropical and citrus fruit notes, some crispness from the wheat, and a mildly spicy and yeasty finish. Based on the label, it looks like this was bottled back in April, so drinking it six months later I’m obviously not getting it at it’s prime. It’s still a decent hefe, though.

A hazy golden weizen with a thick white head. Aroma of mineral banans, some tingling spice notes, berries. In mouth, a good malt base with light German hops, bananas, creamy mouthfeel, pretty decent. Bottle bought at brewery, tasted Oct. 11 2009.

C\loudy tan colour with a athin white head. It has a sweet aroma of wheat its bitter and tastes like disolvable paracetamol.

[2337-20090726] 341mL bottle. Light yeasty fruit aroma with mild floral notes. Hazy, light orange brown body with a long-lasting foamy white head. Mild fruity yeast flavour with a long-lasting sweet yeast aftertaste. Medium body. Wonderful aroma and an unfortunately boring flavour.

2009-07-26. Lightly golden yellow body with modest white head. Mild aroma, light yeast and wheat. Flavour is similar with tart wheat highlights, light bitterness and mild yeast character. Average to light bodied palate. A serviceable but a tad dull hefe, that I suspect fares better fresher and closer to home. Bottle from OKBeer

From bottle. Honey aroma with cloves and herbs. Hazy golden orange colour. Good frothy crisp white head. Citrus, wheat, coriander in the flavour. Well balanced bitterness with the sweet finish. Refreshing ale. very well crafted Hefeweizen. Takes me back to sailing down the Rhine. Wait a minute...I’m in Halifax. very enjoyable.
