Nothing refreshes more than this naturally cloudy wheat beer with yeasty aroma and flavours of banana and clove. Propeller Hefeweizen is made with a special weizen yeast, German Noble hops and equal amounts of barley and wheat malts and finished with higher than normal carbonation.

341 ml bottle, production date 3rd week of April (or possibly 3rd week of March) sampled 4/17/09. Hazy golden yellow colour with a fully lasting creamy and frothy white head. Banana and light clove aroma with some lemony and light phenolic notes. Crisp wheaty and lightly grainy malts, light acidity, a touch of banana and clove, and a dry yeasty bitter finish. A bit of a late perfumy or even plasticy bitterness too. Light to medium bodied, refreshing mouthfeel. A bit of a miss out of the gate, I have to get back to this one to see if it has improved.

(Emb. 1ère semaine d’Avril 2016) (1911-0908165)

pours a cloudy yellow with thin, white head. flowery aromas with hints of citrus? taste is subtle banana, melon and lemon. finish is surprisingly hoppy. much more fruit than expected. a pleasant surprise made for a summer day.

341ml bottle. Pale gold with a nice white head. Quite light - some banana, yeast, wheat and cloves. High carbonation, somewhat sweet but thin, finish is a bit bitter and dry, not much to it, leaves a grainy and hoppy taste on the palate. Have had better.

This poured a semi cloudy straw yellow with a white head. Aroma was light clove and spices, nothing outstanding, flavor was much the same, very bland, not much to talk about but hey its a beer.

I really like this one. Nice depth in the banana aroma. Has a bit of of spicy kick as well. Lots of good carbonation, feels almost creamy in the mouth. Could drink this all day and not get sick of it.

Cloudy yellow beer with a medium white head. Aroma is a nice Banana with some clove, wheat and a little spices. Beer is pretty carbonated and it actually works pretty well. A very nice blend and easily drinkable

Hazy honey gold, very brief white head. Spicy wheaty aroma, estery, hints of soft banana. Spicy and wheaty with more tart lemon nuances than banana. The pilsener was better.

341ml bottle. The carbonation on this beer is indeed high, but it is not artificial so it’s rather enjoyable and doesn’t effect the taste. Very smooth drinking, very sessionable. Bright cloudy yellow colour and plentiful head. Flavour and aroma are fruity and yeasty with a hint of spice.

Cloudy yellow beer with a thick white head. The aroma is quite light but has a nice banana and red apple sweetness along with a bit of soft sweetness. Low clove aroma and flavour but the wheatiness is quite apparent. A fairly nice fruitiness and a touch of honeyed sweetness. It’s a pretty decent pint. There is a nice lemony character on the back of the palate as well as a kiss of tartness.
