Not for the faint of heart. True India Pale Ales had to withstand long sea voyages before slaking the thirst of cranky British troops stationed in the heat of India. Bracing, bitter, higher in alcohol. Trademark Propeller quality. A full-bodied ale for full-throttle beer lovers. Drink fresh.

good stuff from one of the craft breweries from the province. However, i seem to remember this one having more bite and a more complex mouthfeel but hey, it a solid IPA. hints of pine cones, some grassy bitterness and good mix of malts. This use to be one of my everyday IPAís till dieu du ciel came along.

Thanks to my father for sharing this beer. Bottled the second week of September 2010. The beer pours a golden orange color with a white head. The aroma is very strong. The first whiff is very similar to juicy fruit gum, but I also get some flowers and bready malt notes. The flavor is very fruity. I get some bubble gum, perfume, flowers and a little bit of pine. Low to medium bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. The beer is very good, but it got a little hard to drink near the end.

Fell in love with this one during a week-long Nova Scotia vacation. Found it nearly everywhere we went. Pine, citrus, sticky mouthfeel, followed by a long bitter finish. Tasted to me a lot like a West Coast style IPA. Fought the urge to bring a case home, something I now regret.

great sticky lacing, and fluffy white head. Aroma of resinous, piney, citric hops, and a little malt. Pretty one sided here. hints of orange, and the flavor is quite a bit more balanced, the malt makes a distinct appearance. the finish is very bitter, and really clings to the back of my throat. A nice IPA.

On Tap. A solid starter IPA but pales in comparison to the heavy hitters in the field. Maybe Iím just spoiled.

341ml brown bottle. Golden with a bit of haze. Small but creamy and lasting white cap that leaves just a touch of lacing. Aroma has sweet orange, caramel and a touch of sharper citrus. Caramel malt background, orange/citrusy middle. Finishes with grapefruit, moderate bitterness hangs around. Aftertaste is a bit grassy and grapefruity. Medium body with average carbonation. Decent, rounded IPA.

A solid IPA. Piney and citrusy aroma. Slight hops aroma as well. Dark amber gold colour with finger of white head. Taste is sweet citrus and pine. Little bit of hops. Very nice and very drinkable.

12oz bottle from Firefly. Aroma is slightly piney with a resonant caramel malt hit. On pouring it is a golden honey with thin head. Taste is grassy hops with a slight citrus hit. Slightly nutty malt soon takes over with a small hop sting lingering. Sadly itís paired with a metallic aftertaste that isnít welcome. Decent effort but not great.

Poured out a clear, orangy gold, small white head fading to a skim and some random lacing. The aroma is weak but pleasant with peach and a bit more citrus, caramel, a touch of workout clothes, orange that is very very weak orange and almost a dry grass. The taste is weak and missing defined flavours, however it still is an IPA and that is fine, soft bitterness that actually covers the other flavours, weak pine. There is a decent bitterness and a touch of malt helps it out but it is still plain. Another miss by Propeller.
