Not for the faint of heart. True India Pale Ales had to withstand long sea voyages before slaking the thirst of cranky British troops stationed in the heat of India. Bracing, bitter, higher in alcohol. Trademark Propeller quality. A full-bodied ale for full-throttle beer lovers. Drink fresh.

12oz bottle from Firefly. Aroma is slightly piney with a resonant caramel malt hit. On pouring it is a golden honey with thin head. Taste is grassy hops with a slight citrus hit. Slightly nutty malt soon takes over with a small hop sting lingering. Sadly itís paired with a metallic aftertaste that isnít welcome. Decent effort but not great.

Poured out a clear, orangy gold, small white head fading to a skim and some random lacing. The aroma is weak but pleasant with peach and a bit more citrus, caramel, a touch of workout clothes, orange that is very very weak orange and almost a dry grass. The taste is weak and missing defined flavours, however it still is an IPA and that is fine, soft bitterness that actually covers the other flavours, weak pine. There is a decent bitterness and a touch of malt helps it out but it is still plain. Another miss by Propeller.

A: Poured with quite a large, frothy white head. Not only was that surprising, but the head had great lasting power, and left behind nice, sticky lacing. Body is clear and sparkling, and a lovely dark-orange color. S: Aroma is quite impressive as well... average hops, with hints of lemon, lime, and pine. T: Moderately bitter and lightly acidic, the hops hit you at the end and stay with you for a bit. Not crazy bitter, but definitely enough so you know itís there. Quite good. D: Wow, very impressive. Propeller has a real winner here; Iíll definitely buy this on a fairly regular basis to always have some on hand.

Nice Rich Golden Color, pours a good thick head that is slow to dissipate. predominant malty flavor with a pronounced floral bitterness that comes through in the finish. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience.

Nice golden colour with good head and some lacing. Hoppy, but not overwhelming. Lots of citrus flavours (grapefruit). Finishes smooth. Very drinkable.

Bottle via OKbeer. A solid and stable example of an IPA. nose is butterscotch covered hops....yeah I know. A deep amber with a finger thick oily tannish head. Settles with dense fine lacing to a dozen lilly pad carbonation points. Three separate waves of hops hit the tounge from start to finish. Body is medium. a nice one.

The Propeller brewery always pleases me. This one pours a nice penny color with a very small but lasting head. This brew doesnít lace the glass. I think it is a bit too tame. Should have everything as is but up the intensity on it all.

Bright copper body with a small white cap. Citrusy hoppy aroma with toffee and apple. Taste is watered down with a soapy citrus hop flavour. The bitterness is very noticeable but not over the top. Leather starts to appear in the finish, could use more malt character. Good brew to just sit a drink but itís a bellow average IPA and not worth the 20$ a sixer.
