3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle via OKbeer. A solid and stable example of an IPA. nose is butterscotch covered hops....yeah I know. A deep amber with a finger thick oily tannish head. Settles with dense fine lacing to a dozen lilly pad carbonation points. Three separate waves of hops hit the tounge from start to finish. Body is medium. a nice one.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear amber and orangey colour with a one finger head that turns into a sticky ring of lace. The aroma is spicy, piney, and floral but not quite as potent as I have experienced in other American IPAs.
The taste is more assertive with some hints of toffee and strong citrus. There is nice bitter finish to each sip.
This beer goes down quite smooth. This is one of the more well balanced IPAs Iíve enjoyed.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thanks to OKBeer for this Canadian gem. Pour is beautiful copper color with minimal white head. Aroma is hops and bubblegum up front with malt, grapefruit hops, and yeast in back. Flavor is hops, malt, oregano, and yeast with a mild chemical background. Finish is crisp and refreshing. Solid stuff.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle from Firefly. Aroma is slightly piney with a resonant caramel malt hit. On pouring it is a golden honey with thin head. Taste is grassy hops with a slight citrus hit. Slightly nutty malt soon takes over with a small hop sting lingering. Sadly itís paired with a metallic aftertaste that isnít welcome. Decent effort but not great.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2008 341 ml bottle, re-rated blind side by side with Garrison Imperial Pale Ale. Pale golden amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy off-white head. Orange, bread, caramel, floral, and fruity aroma with some additional citrus notes including lime, tangerine, and grapefruit. Bready malt backbone with a piny, woody, grapefruit, orange, and resiny bitter finish. Medium to full bodied, juicy but sticky mouthfeel. Overall I prefer the Garrison ImPA compared to Propeller, but the Propeller comes across as the more complex of the two. Certainly nice to have both of them around. 7/4/7/4/14
650 ml bottle. I donít think Iíve ever been this excited about a new local beer. So much so Iím prepared to be disappointed. But Iím not. Copper colour with a mostly lasting frothy and creamy off-white head. Caramel, lots of tangerine and lime citrus aroma, plus light bready and pine notes. Toasty and caramel malt flavours make way for a long but not overbearing grapefruit and tangerine pithy bitter finish. Medium bodied, juicy and quenching - like biting into a fresh ripe grapefruit. Not the hop monster I thought it might be, instead a nicely balanced well made IPA. 8/4/8/5/16

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bright copper body with a small white cap. Citrusy hoppy aroma with toffee and apple. Taste is watered down with a soapy citrus hop flavour. The bitterness is very noticeable but not over the top. Leather starts to appear in the finish, could use more malt character. Good brew to just sit a drink but itís a bellow average IPA and not worth the 20$ a sixer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
650mL bottle, shared by a friend who was just out east. Pours a nice, somewhat deep copper with a large beige head. The aroma throws some decent hops in your face, but also a lot of malty characters. Flavour is extremely well balanced, sharp and dry from the hops but backed up very well by the malt body. Caramalt, toffee, fruity esters, citrus, with a bit of a dry finish. Body is medium and satisfying. I love well-balanced IPAís. This is what Keithís is supposed to be like.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nice big hoppy beer. My only issue is that Iím not getting any balance in it. Just hops. Wrong carbonation and nice dry finish.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
341ml bottle. The Propeller hops dominate this beer from start to finish. When you can taste anything else its pine and maybe a little citrus. Dry finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear golden color with a white head that dissipates into a white hat that leaves some nice sticky lacing. Aroma of citrus, pine, toffee and some kind of sweet green apple on the end. Taste is slight citrus up front with a burst of grapefruit bitterness. Hop bitterness is pretty present and sticks around at the end.
