COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not for the faint of heart. True India Pale Ales had to withstand long sea voyages before slaking the thirst of cranky British troops stationed in the heat of India. Bracing, bitter, higher in alcohol. Trademark Propeller quality. A full-bodied ale for full-throttle beer lovers. Drink fresh.

Bottle sourced from the brewery by the lovely Ellen & Malcolm. Pours amber with a big foamy head. Quite sweet at first with notes of caramel and biscuit before a lovely bitter hoppy finish with a blast of tropical fruit and just a nice amount of alcohol. A very nice IPA.

(650 ml bottle (produced in week 1, May í07) from the brewery) Nice, a little light in just about every way...Pours light slightly amberish gold with three fingers of pillowy white head. Sweetish aroma of light toffee, pine and flowers. Mouthfeel smooth, feels a bit light. Lots of foamy rings and sheets of lacing. Flavor is good but on the mild (and probably filtered) side - light malt sweetness overlain by medium bitterness with pine and flowery, very lightly fruity hops. Slight metallic taste detected a couple of times.

gramity (1518) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 23, 2011
Clear amber and orangey colour with a one finger head that turns into a sticky ring of lace. The aroma is spicy, piney, and floral but not quite as potent as I have experienced in other American IPAs. The taste is more assertive with some hints of toffee and strong citrus. There is nice bitter finish to each sip. This beer goes down quite smooth. This is one of the more well balanced IPAs Iíve enjoyed.

Nice big hoppy beer. My only issue is that Iím not getting any balance in it. Just hops. Wrong carbonation and nice dry finish.

Bottle from jerc and OKBeer. Thanks for the history lesson commercial description. Clear copper color with a beige head. Full hoppy aroma, citrusy and herbal. Nice malt balance in the aroma and flavor. Bitter finish, long lasting. Medium bodied and very drinkable. Its good to see more Canadian brewers getting this style right.

Hazy copper w/ light tan foam. Light citrusy hop aroma over a bed of caramel & toffee. Moderately sticky feel. Clean flavour & though sufficiently bitter, somewhat balanced toward the malt.

Bottle via OKbeer. A solid and stable example of an IPA. nose is butterscotch covered hops....yeah I know. A deep amber with a finger thick oily tannish head. Settles with dense fine lacing to a dozen lilly pad carbonation points. Three separate waves of hops hit the tounge from start to finish. Body is medium. a nice one.

Pours a clear golden color with a white head that dissipates into a white hat that leaves some nice sticky lacing. Aroma of citrus, pine, toffee and some kind of sweet green apple on the end. Taste is slight citrus up front with a burst of grapefruit bitterness. Hop bitterness is pretty present and sticks around at the end.

Thanks to OKBeer for this Canadian gem. Pour is beautiful copper color with minimal white head. Aroma is hops and bubblegum up front with malt, grapefruit hops, and yeast in back. Flavor is hops, malt, oregano, and yeast with a mild chemical background. Finish is crisp and refreshing. Solid stuff.

Cirrhosis (1239) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 16, 2009
Bright copper body with a small white cap. Citrusy hoppy aroma with toffee and apple. Taste is watered down with a soapy citrus hop flavour. The bitterness is very noticeable but not over the top. Leather starts to appear in the finish, could use more malt character. Good brew to just sit a drink but itís a bellow average IPA and not worth the 20$ a sixer.
