2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This IPA poured a light amber colour with a quick living, off white head. to the nose there are scents of citrus, dough and white bread. First sip was very hoppy with flavours of grassy hops and a little citrus. Very hoppy IPA

Had in bottle before, but this time a pint at hart & thistle. Clear light amber. Light caramel and citrus nose. Similar in taste. Good, but not as good as I remember.

Bomber into a tumbler. Pours a clear golden colour with a light fluffy head and some lacing. Light grassy aroma, not too overpowering. Good hoppiness with sweet malts and some dry bitterness. Light and crisp.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Sweet caramel malt aroma with some papery oxidation. Slightly hazy bronze under patchy white film. Balanced sweet malt and hops bitterness with caramel, earthy hops. Cardboard oxidation comes in late with the bitterness and is unpleasant. Medium light bitterness, medium carbonation, lingering bitterness.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle sourced from the brewery by the lovely Ellen & Malcolm. Pours amber with a big foamy head. Quite sweet at first with notes of caramel and biscuit before a lovely bitter hoppy finish with a blast of tropical fruit and just a nice amount of alcohol. A very nice IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Location: Draft at Maxwell’s Plum, 7/7/13
Aroma: The nose has some fruity hops to it and some malty notes as well
Appearance: It pours a hazed golden-orange color with a small white head and lace
Flavor: The has a pretty nice hop flavor, some citrus, and some light sweetness
Palate: The body is medium, it has a clean, easy drinking feel, and a dry finish
This was probably the best thing that I had at Maxwell Plum’s. It isn’t an amazing IPA or anything, but it is a more than solid example of the style. Nice stuff.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours amber with a frothy, light tan head. Aroma of pine, caramel, citrus rind, bubble gum. Taste is fairly malty up front with a lot of caramel, nicely balancing out a firm, clean hop finish. This is one of the best Canadian IPAs I’ve had!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
It is a decent good beer but just didn’t have that extra bit of taste I get from other IPA’s. Little bit of a disappointment.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Well if this isnt all burnt sugar & bubblegum taste. Hops are bright -- & make lager boys blush from what I can see down the left side of the bar -- but without the punch that you’d want from your ipa. Reminds me of spearhead Moroccan brown -- which is odd -- but there it is.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from LCBO. Hazy gold. Aroma: peach and pine. Taste: pine, fruits, medium-bitter finish. An relatively easy-drinking IPA, nothing wrong with it.
