Literally "crystal wheat". A Kristall Weizen is a filtered pale Weissbier. It pours "crystal"-clear rather than yeast-hazey. Propeller Kristall Weizen is made with special Weizen yeast, German Noble hops and equal amounts of barley and wheat malts. Like its Hefeweizen counterpart, Kristall Weizen develops a richly-textured, firm, white head in the glass. Very light, spritzy-effervescent and refreshing on the palate, with creamy texture and gentle, lightly fruity character, it finishes with a touch of dryness. Propeller Kristall Weizen pairs well with summer heat and good times... Prost. For Beer Geeks IBU’s- 12 Hops- Spalt. Malts- Pale, Wheat (50%). Water- Soft Colour- 2.5°L

[4256-20120120] 500mL bottle. Honeyed leaf straw aroma. Slightly hazy, light orange brown body with a quick foamy white head. Light oil paint flavour has a lot of sweet leaf straw melted butter base and grainy bread yeast in the aftertaste. Light-medium body. Light and sweet and curious. (6/3/7/3/13) 3.2

2012-01-19. Crisp dark yellow body, small foamy white head. 3+ Mild aroma, sort of grainy and wheaty character, mild hops. 6+ Flavour is mild, sweet pale malt with mild wheaty touches, mild grass straw hops in the finish and muted yeasty esters. Smooth average plus bodied palate. 3+ Enjoyable, quite drinkable. Bottle from OKBeer

Pale golden pour with a bit of haze. A little bit of spice with some nice banana flavour. A touch of spice and some cooked malt. There is a little bit of wheat spice as well as a little bit of slickness. Nice palate with a bit of lingering sweetness.

500ml bottle. Scents of banana and other sweet fruits, some spice and wheat. Appearance is completely clear, a rich gold colour. Medium white head that didn’t stick around too long. Taste is light, tart and sweet, with lemon, banana, clove and wheat, with a touch of earthy/woodsy hops on the backside. Body was creamy with lots of carbonation, with just a hint of dryness. Overall, this was really satisfying. Glad I finally got my hands on a bottle.

Bottle sent to me by my brother-in-law in Halifax. Clear golden with a big white head that leaves lots of nice lace. Fresh and mellow aroma of typical weisse characteristics - banana, clove, wheat - along with floral and lemon notes. Great mouthfeel with a good level of carbonation. Flavour follows the aroma, along with a touch of honey, and a nice dry grassiness to finish. An excellent beer all around, really enjoyable.

500 ml bottle - pours clear gold with a tight white head. Aroma is very estery, much moreso than I would’ve expected. Yeast, clove, spice. Flavour is soft and spicy, lemon comes to the fore as does a refreshing spiciness. I don’t think they use coriander, but I got something like that, along with clove. Light, spritzy finish. Solid beer in a style I don;t normally love.

Pours clear with alot of carbonation in the glass. Aromas are mute but remind me of honeydew melon and some yeasty notes as well. Has a sweet taste to me at first but finishes with a light refreshing tartness.

500ml bottle. Pours a clear golden colour with a white head. Lots of visible carbonation. Aromas of spice, dough, citrus, honey. The taste is spice heavy, cloves (Spicy heat too!), with more grain notes than usual in the finish. Easy drinking, and recommended.

Fantastic beer from a great brewery. Floral notes are just right, crisp light body.
