COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Based on a 200-year-old recipe for Porter, a brew whose popularity changed English beer-making methods in the mid-1750s. A dark full-flavoured beer but smoother and less bitter than stout. Made with softened water, Propeller London Porter is a blend of pale, roasted and chocolate malts, hopped with English and North American varieties.

650ml bottle from NB Liquor. Pours dark with a tan head. Wonderful roast and chocolate aroma. Taste is rich, roasty malt, with nice body. Slightly bitter finish. Very nice!

Draught @ brewery. Hazy dark brown with a small off-white head. Pure chocolate malt aromas, smells super fresh and good. Sweet bready character emerges at the end, toasty but not too roasty. Medium carbonation level is nice. Solid body, great lingering roasty finish with a touch of sweetness. Good one.

650 mL bottle. Dark, dark brown with a thick, foamy brown head. Smoke and roast dominate the aroma, with the addition of nuts, dark chocolate and licorice. Nice. There is smoke in the flavour as well, but also milk chocolate, roast, caramel, and a very slight astringency. Body is quite full. Carbonation is a little high for a porter, but that the only flaw I can find in an otherwise excellent brew.

Pours deep brownish black with frothy khaki head. Nose is roasty patent malt, chocoff, figgy fruit. Tastes dry, creamy, with roasty dark malt, chocoff, molasses, and mild dark fruit. Remains rather dry, roasty, and creamy throughout.

Dark brown, almost black, with dense slightly rocky tan head. Aroma is coffee, dark fruits, dark malt acidity. Hell of smooth in the mouth, like a chocolate milkshake. Tangy roasty malts. A rich medium body. Smooth smooth smooth. Perfect porter. I sometimes forget how lucky I am to have this in my city.

Bottle shared by SDbruboy, Thanks Cliff. Pours with a dark brown body topped by a thin head with some lacing left on the glass. It’s slightly sweet and malty with a very slight touch of roast and a hint of candy sugar. Light bodied for a porter, smooth and a touch dry.

22 oz bottle from Jerc. Pours dark brown and clear with mahogany red highlights when held to light, and a small beige head. Big molasses aroma, and roasty with brown sugar notes as well. Flavor of roasty malts, nice herbal bitterness, a bit of dark chocolate. Medium body and gentle carbonation.

Bière #26 au Mondial 08 (30/5/08), bouteille. Brune cola foncée, peu de collet. Arome de noix, choco-caramel malté. Goût de café noir, un peu de chocolat noir amère, finission sec. Pas mauvaise!

Bottled at Stockholm Beer and Whiskey Festival 2007. A brown beer with a red shine under a thin rim of tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with a weird vegetable note. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of fruit as well as a lighter note of roasted malt, leading to a dry bitter and roasted finish. The body is thin.
