3rd Wiener Bierfest, Vienna, Austria. Sampled by Kis Salétrom and Szebeni Ászok.
SZÁ: Egy éjszakai repülésre visszatértünk a fesztre. Nézzük is mibe botlottunk. Jó kis érett cseresznye kávés beütéssel. Imperial ez a stout.
KS: Olyan amerikai kávés, tudod milyen az: amolyan bő lére eresztett, beszélgetős. Olajos is, de lehetne egy kicsit testesebb.

Geruch malzig, dunkel, getreidig und etwas likörig. Start süßmalzig. Mitte getreidig-fruchtig, etwas schwach und dünn wirkend. Malzsüßer Abschluss, alkoholisch, abrupt endend. Gefällt mir nicht so gut.

Thanks Gabriel...pours opaque black with a nice light brown head. Smells like dark toasted malt, some dark fruit. Very fruity, quite sweet a bit roasty with dry aftertaste. Medium plus body mild carbonation. Overall OK but I’m not really feeling it.

Pours pitch black with medium brown head. Aroma is hoppy with some berries and some roastyness. Taste is coffee, sourish berries and ends quite bitter. Pretty thin body for a 9%. I like the dryness but otherwise this is absolutely unspectacular. It also tastes nothing like an imperial stout.

Bottle@Home. Vanilla, chocolate and black berries aroma. Black, light brown head, good lace. Very dry, chocolate, coffee, bitter. Very dry. Very not German.

A black beer with a big and brown head. Aroma is roasted, slightly sour and ryebread. Taste is bready and slightly roasted, some chocolate. Full- bodied, nice to drink. Too careless beer, everything are too hide, much more would be possible.

Black body, light brown head. Aroma has berries and wine with medicinal hops. Some alcohol, rich burned chocolate. This is like dark beer liquor. Lots of alcohol in flavour. Very bitter. Clean but not in my best list.

(Flasche) Es ist fast schwarz, somit ist auch keine Aussage über die Filtration zu machen. Es hat eine hellbraune Schaumkrone. Das Aroma ist röstig, fruchtig, nach Cranberry und ein bisschen erdig. Es schmeckt anfangs erfischend, dann kommt die schwere erdige Röstnote, inklusive breiter, mittelstarker Bittere. Die Karbonisierung passt. Zusammengefasst ist es ein leckeres Stout.

0.33 l bottle, thanks hanniku! Black color. Strong coffee aroma with some sharp alcohol. Coffeish and raisiny flavor with tart and solventy alcohol. Some licorice and bitter tonic notes also. Fairly light body for a 9 % ABV beer. Reminds a coffee liquer and bitter tonic, a bit too boozy.
