COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For our signature pale ale we use only our pale malted barley, with a small amount of malted wheat. A few degrees hoppier than the ESB, again using North American and English varieties, with emphasis on English Goldings in the finish. Hard water to emulate the great brewing centre of Burton on Trent, the birthplace of pale ale. A truly classic, English Style Pale Ale, crisp, hoppy, and thirst-quenching.

Occasionally known as Turbo.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2012 Pours a light amber. Kind of cloudy with 2 finger head that lingers for quite a while. Good lacing. Scent is of malty sweetness and caramel and some floral hops. Taste is bitter hops and a nice balancing malty sweetness. Not bad. Not thick nor too watery. Well balanced beer.

A very nice example of an English style here and happy that it is from a brewery close to home but sadly locally unavailable as of now. The golden pour smells of some grains, toast, clover honey and a tad of grapefruit. Taste is the same, nice malt HQ with a dry, bitter finish to take home. Quite.

Bottle (341 ml). From czar, thanks! Clear golden with a medium quickly fainting white head, but with intense and beautiful lacing. Aroma is floral with caramel, earthy notes, malt and light sweetness. Taste is slightly to moderately sweet with with floral notes, honeyed malt, earthy/mineral notes, caramel and a light to moderate bitter finish. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. I don’t know how fresh is this bottle, but I love the fact that Golding hops aren’t through the roof. Tasty for the style. Moderately quenching, but still quite enjoyable.

Pours a hazy dark copper with a small frothy white head that leaves lots of lacing. Aroma of caramel, pale malts, grassy hops and slight woodiness. Taste is grassy hops, caramel sweetness, medium high bitterness slightly on the high side though. Finishes very dry and could be a bit less dry for a better overall beer and flavor. Overall this beer is sessionable and nice to drink.

Bottle to Warsteiner glass Aroma of caramel and toasted malts and sweet cherries. It's a deep red colour, almost brown, with a thin off white head. Toasted malts are the predominant flavour with a nice hoppy bitter ending.

341ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a 2 finger white head that retains well and leaves some respectable lacing on the glass. Aromas are floral and citrus with some light caramel malts. Taste is a pleasant hop bitterness balanced nicely with a caramel malty sweetness. A truly enjoyable tasting experience which captures the English Pale Ale style wonderfully.
