COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the classic lager style of Bohemia with a blend of European and Canadian malts and prized Saaz hops, Propeller Pilsener has a light sweet flavour with a firm hop finish. Drink fresh.

Bottle: Poured a gold color ale with a medium white foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of medium sweet malt with some dry floral hops presence. Taste is also dominated by nice fresh medium sweet malt with a nice dry Saaz finish. Body is quite full for style with good carbonation. Refreshing and easily drinkable with maybe a tad too much malt which limit my consumption when I would be willing to drink more on a hot sumer day.

Draft on the waterfront with an improvised dinner. An off copper/gold. Thin diminishing wimpy head. This is more along the lined of an English bitter. It was so much so at the time I asked the server twice if they had mispoured it since their bitter tap was right next to the pilsener. I went so far as to ask for a taste of the bitter and it was nearly the same as the pilsener. Skip Skip skip it!

Cloudy dark honey colour with an airy white head, lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops with some sweet malt bitter with the taste of hops and slightly nutty.

Bottle (341ml) courtesy of jerc. Pours a slightly cloudy golden-orange with an average size lasting frothy white head. Aroma’s slightly sugary sweet along with yeast, fruit, light saaz hops and bready malt -- not too shabby smelling for a Pilsener. Flavour of sweet bready malt, some fruit, grain and a light bitter finish -- good, could be a tad more flavourful though. Medium bodied. A pretty good version of the style.

[1493-20080612] 341mL bottle. Straw-like grains aroma is a bit toasted. Slightly hazy, orange brown body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Grainy straw base flavour is bland. Light-medium body has a slight bitterness. Nice for the style.

2008-06-12. Crisp golden yellow body with a foamy white head. (3+) Sweetish aroma of noble hops, quite floral, light grassy notes. Flavour has similar hops, floral, grassy - just a great fresh Saaz profile, and I am not even a big fan of Saaz hops. Light grass, mildly sweet pale malt base. Smooth average palate. A very solid pilsener! Not my favorite style, but this was very nice. Surprised how much I liked this. Bottle from OKBeer

Bottle courtesy of pubstyle. Deep golden colour with a medium snow-white head. Solid aroma of sweet grain and grassy hops. Medium bodied, refreshing. Flavour starts sweet, a bit of toasted grain and honey, and nice, subtle hops to finish. A nice pils, comparable to many Euro versions.

Bottle (341ml). Courtesy of tupalev. Light amber pour, decent frothy white head, nice bubling and a touch of cloudiness. Floral and grainy, sweet and oddly fruity aroma. The taste - man that’s interesting - sharply bitter and I swear it tasted like only slightly sweetened rhubarb preserves - tart, acidic and fruity - man I like that!. Light body, sharply carbonated and plenty of lasting acidity, reminded me vaguely of a light ESB but with that huge bitter rhubarb. Long bitter aftertaste, but I like it!

Bottle, thanks Big Red and K. Nice medium to dark yellow,, lots of streaming bubbles, small creamy white head. Nice aroma of Saaz hops and light malt. Taste follows, hops even more prominent, and a good amount of malt sweetness is balanced nicely. Body is medium, good frothy carbonated mouthfeel. All boxes checked here, just nothing exceptional, and maybe a tad too sweet. Otherwise, a good bohemian pils.
