On tap at hotel restaurant in Truro NS. Good crisp brew here. Malts were sweet but in a good way. grainy nutmeg flavor, but with a nice hop finish. I enjoyed this one crisp and easy to drink but had body.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: SEP 26, 2010 up against the lagunitas pils. less expressive than the other brew. It seems more fruity upfront but that changed to a more nut like character. malted notes are in there as well. it is lighter styled. clean and crisp brew with ever so slight bitter finish.i find it nutty and pleasant. good carbonation. good summer brew!

Delicious, finally a pils from the east with some character. I enjoyed these for a couple of days paddling at the falls in SJ.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A golden pils with a thick white head. A perfumey malt aroma, with light cinnamon and nutmeg notes. In mouth, a nice crisp malt with light mineral notes, crisp and smooth, a bit harsh and grainy. Medium bodied. On tap at Hart and Thistle, Oct. 12 2009.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
341 ml bottle from Premier. Pours a clear gold with big carobnation bubbles and small fluffy white head. Grainy, grassy sweetness in the aroma. Sweet caramel/honey and bread in the flavour with the hops kicking in to give a somewhat bitter finish. Not bad.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Poured a gold color ale with a medium white foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of medium sweet malt with some dry floral hops presence. Taste is also dominated by nice fresh medium sweet malt with a nice dry Saaz finish. Body is quite full for style with good carbonation. Refreshing and easily drinkable with maybe a tad too much malt which limit my consumption when I would be willing to drink more on a hot sumer day.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft on the waterfront with an improvised dinner. An off copper/gold. Thin diminishing wimpy head. This is more along the lined of an English bitter. It was so much so at the time I asked the server twice if they had mispoured it since their bitter tap was right next to the pilsener. I went so far as to ask for a taste of the bitter and it was nearly the same as the pilsener. Skip Skip skip it!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle (341ml) courtesy of jerc. Pours a slightly cloudy golden-orange with an average size lasting frothy white head. Aroma’s slightly sugary sweet along with yeast, fruit, light saaz hops and bready malt -- not too shabby smelling for a Pilsener. Flavour of sweet bready malt, some fruit, grain and a light bitter finish -- good, could be a tad more flavourful though. Medium bodied. A pretty good version of the style.
