3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
1/22/14. On tap at the brewpub. Amber pour with a small khaki head. This is virtually identical to the normal Rye of the Tiger (bready, light spice, caramel), but with just a touch of spice and an almost smokiness from the pepper, but not too spicy - light hands on this one, which was probably a good idea. Interesting.

Pours a cloudy amber-golden with a one-finger off-white head. Served in a 12 ounce snifter. Looks nice. Habañero chili nose. Smooth, full, and creamy mouthfeel. Plenty of chili flavor and heat. Sweet, well-blended rye and barley as well. Finishes pretty cleanly. A very well done chili beer
