4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear, dark amber with a HUUUUGE light tan head.
Toffee, baked nut-bread scent.
Flavour is smooth, rich toffee malt, nuts, cola.
Almost a little chocolate-note.
Really wonderful.....nicely rich.
The only drawback (sorta) is the giant, ridiculous head.....took about 30 separate pours into my Kolsch glass to finish the bottle.....took forever....but, I guess that let me savour it more....worth it.

Bottle. Dry hay and toffee malt aroma. Copper with giant off-white head. Moderately sweet nutty toffee malt and mildly bitter astringent hay flavor. Nice body. Very good - a solid altbier

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Love the style, but this one misses the mark by a decent margin. Flavor is far too watery - I like a stronger taste with more caramel. Oh well. It was fun giving it a shot anyway.

Not sure what was going on with this one. Kinda mineral-y and off flavored overall. Old bottle maybe?

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Prost Altbier has an extremely fierce, foamy, spongy, bone-colored head, a cloudy, copper appearance, raging bubbles, powdery sediment throughout, and lacing blobs left behind. The aroma is odd- tea, lemon, walnuts, pecans, brown bread crust, and medium-roasted malt. Taste is odd, too- all of the above, with citrus, sourness, moderate hop bitterness, brown bread crust, and golden raisin. Mouthfeel is medium, and Prost Altbier finishes crisp and refreshing. RJT

Clear brown pour with minimal head and lacing. Nose is malt and faint spice. Taste is spice and banana. mouthfeel is a tad thin. Finish starts out sweet, then gets dry and malty.

Dark golden color. White head no lace. This had some off flavors. Burnt rubber and metallic taste. Not pleasant.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from a bottle. Clear, maple syrup amber color with no head. Smell is sweet and rum-like, with notes of honey and candied apple. Taste is sweet, a little too sweet for me. A little nuttiness, some similar tastes to apple cider, and just a bit of bitterness. Feel is sort of oily with little carbonation. Overall it’s decent, but Prost has some much better offerings.
