On tap at Prost poured a clear tranished copper with a lasting creamy ivory head. Aromas of carmel, toastyed malt, light earthiness and a hint of fruittiness. Palate was medium bodied and crisp withj a smooth finish. Flavors of carmel, toasted malt, earthiness and light tobacco with a smooth lingering earthy finish.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2015 12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear (at least this bottle, more later) medium brown with an off-white head. The aroma is correct and smells like a German Altbier yeast strain has been used. The color is a bit too light for me. The flavor is quite thin and I miss the hop bite. All in all a decent, but not very exciting brown ale and a very disappointing Alt. I am somewhat confused by the label calling this "German style pale ale". That would fit a Kölsch, but certainly not a traditional Düsseldorf Altbier. Finally, I have also noticed that sometimes the beers from this brewery are crystal clear and sometimes they are cloudy. You may have 3 clear ones in a six pack and 3 cloudy ones when served at the very same temperature. So this would not appear to be chill haze, but rather filtration problems.

Light amber colour. Not much head. Just an old school toasty-bready thing.Ok beer, not a great alt.

Bottle. Clear ruby-amber with an off-white head that dies immediately and settles out into nothing. Malty aroma is cola / caramel malt, wet leaves, metal, artificial cherry flavoring. Medium-light bodied, sweet, syrupy-goopy, under-carbonated, worty and under-carbonated, AND it’s dirty / acidic in the mouth. It doesn’t really smell awful, it’s a pretty quiet aroma, but what is there doesn’t convey anything resembling malt (smells like cola flavoring), and the texture is hilariously unenjoyable. This is just simply bad beer that should not even be released for sale.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is light to medium brown. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted bread, caramel), lightly hoppy (herbs, orange), with a light note of pennies. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, slightly husky. Medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation, slightly metallic. The recipe seems to have promise...it’s somewhat authentic in the nose if rather simple and a bit metallic. Sadly it’s not too much fun to drink thanks to a biting, husky aftertaste, watery, prickly carbonation, and that metallic twang again. But all those complaints aside, it’s not as bad as usual from this brewery.

Tap at the brewery. The look is slightly cloudy, off white head, and orangish color. The smell is banana, yeast, clove, wheat. The taste is the same.

12 oz bottle poured. Purchased at Molly’s in Denver. Pours a dark reddish copper color with a patchy foam head. Maple, malt forward aroma. Flavor is sweet, slightly bready/cracker but overall pretty light in flavor. Dry, bready finish that lingers a little. Overall an alright beer. I’ll blame the style for not loving it.

Pour on tap at the brewery, clear reddish orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, bread, some slight yeasty notes with a hint of grass, herbal hops, touch of toast. Taste was a mix of toast, bread, slight yeast into a bit of dough, some grassy, herbal notes with a hint of grain, finishing slightly bitter, slightly sweet.

(Bue en fût sur place): Des céréales bien craquantes avec une bonne quantité d’épices comme la cannelle et cardamome. Intéressant bouquet de saveurs.
