Caramel brown pour, fluffy white head. I loved this brewery. The people were great and I found the beers to be very tasty. This one was a tad sweet, but I had no issued drinking a full one! Rich and caramel forward, clean...yum.

Ernest (6350) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 25, 2014
Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (cookie, toasted grain), lightly hoppy (apricot), with notes of stewed peaches/plums. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly unclean. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Pretty standard Prost quality here. Nose is rather light and simple, and has some sickly-sweet stewed/canned fruit odor. Too syrupy and sweet in the mouth, not to mention a dirty aftertaste, so yeah...a few sips is all you’re likely to suffer. Not as bad as the dunkel, but still not something I’d call drinkable. These guys seriously need a guiding hand to help them learn how to use their high-tech equipment, but I worry that they think what they’re producing is good enough, so that may never happen.
