This is a northern German staple and our flagship beer. This is a crisp, pale and dry interpretation of the style. Well hopped with noble German varieties and a special strain of yeast from a German monastery. Prost Pils is pale gold in color and capped with a thick, brilliantly white, dense collar of foam. With the first sip spicy hop flavors come to the forefront. As the hop begins to fade, the wonderfully soft imported pilsner malt is revealed. The finish, with its herbal, pleasantly lingering hop note balanced by a rich malt counterpoint, demands another taste.

Light gold pour with a finger of foam that leaves lacing behind. Noble hops crispness in the smell with some bready malt notes. Unmistakable noble hops zing with light bread that personifies the style to a T. As German a Pils as one can get in the US, imho.

On tap at the brewery. A crisp and clean Pilsner with the hops providing a floral/herbal palate cleansing bitterness.

12oz bottle. A really solid Pils, World Class. On the lighter side of medium bodied, very clean and drinkable. Quality malt, great lager notes, pleasant noble hop balance. Really nails it, excellent.

UPDATED: DEC 3, 2015 12 ounce bottle. Pours a quite dark golden yellow with a white head. The aroma is yeasty and malty, no perceptible hop fragrance. The taste is dominated by a dryness and astringency on the top of your mouth. This beer is very one dimensional as the lingering hop bite is not very pleasant. Nice label with the German colors, but it is upside down! The German flag is black, red, yellow from top to bottom. Obviously, no Germans working here. The label says "ENJOY BY:" on the side, but the date is not indicated. This is an attempt to recreate a dry northern German pils and perhaps it would have fit that style 30 years ago, but even Jever Pils of that era which had 40 IBU´s was a lot smoother than this and had a nice malt body. Modern German pilseners have much less bitterness. This beer would be a very hard sell in Germany despite its claims to be authentic.
