This is a northern German staple and our flagship beer. This is a crisp, pale and dry interpretation of the style. Well hopped with noble German varieties and a special strain of yeast from a German monastery. Prost Pils is pale gold in color and capped with a thick, brilliantly white, dense collar of foam. With the first sip spicy hop flavors come to the forefront. As the hop begins to fade, the wonderfully soft imported pilsner malt is revealed. The finish, with its herbal, pleasantly lingering hop note balanced by a rich malt counterpoint, demands another taste.

Pint at Falling Rock. Pours with a crystal clear golden hued body with a lasting white head. Aromas are bready, crispy, grassy, clean and toasty. Flavors are toasty malt, assertive bitter, cleanly bitter, crisp and a bit herbal. Lively carbonation, medium-light bodied and dry. Well made for sure.

Slightly hazy golden, with herbal, earthy hop in both the flavour and aroma. Light pale malt body and moderate bitterness. Decent pils.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a quite dark golden yellow with a white head. The aroma is yeasty and malty, no perceptible hop fragrance. The taste is dominated by a dryness and astringency on the top of your mouth. This beer is very one dimensional as the lingering hop bite is not very pleasant. Nice label with the German colors. The label says "ENJOY BY:" on the side, but the date is not indicated. This is an attempt to recreate a dry northern German pils and perhaps it would have fit that style 30 years ago, but even Jever Pils of that era which had 40 IBU´s was a lot smoother than this and had a nice malt body. Modern German pilseners have much less bitterness. This beer would be a very hard sell in Germany despite its claims to be authentic.

(Bue en fût sur place): Des céréales bien atténuées et une touche gazonnée. Plus près du côté générique que traditionnel.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of biscuit and bread with a bit of grass and some sweet grains. Flavor is bread and grain forward with a bit of biscuit in the finish as well as a hint of grass.

12 oz. bottle, but I lost a couple ounces to gushing. That’s an automatic minus one point from the overall score. Consumed on 1-4-15. Mostly clear but slightly hazy pale yellow. Some slow-rising bubbles. Ugly, off-white head. Decent lacing. A notably bad-looking beer. Sweet, pleasant, floral aroma. Quite nice smell. Quite pleasant flavor. Good, dry hoppiness. Tasty and refreshing. Overall, this is a really good pilsner in terms of aroma and flavor. Crisp and smooth with a good aftertaste, but whatever caused the gushing has had a weird effect on the palate, I think, pulling down a bit what could have been a really good palate. This is one of the weirder sets of scores I’ve given. Assuming the gushing issue is an isolated incident, this is one of the best bottled pilsners on the market.

After it warms a bit, the aroma of some malt and hop notes comes through. The appearance is great! Taste is not overly sweet, which is good: notes of malt and some hop. I’m getting some faint lagerish sulfur notes...finish is dry and slightly bitter. I wanted a bit more body and malt backbone. O Well. Overall, a good style showing but no twist or nothing that makes it stand out.

Nice gold pour, white head. Crisp and clean. Lightly floral, crackery malt bill. Hints of honeyed notes. Really an enjoyable beer!

12oz brittle pours a pale yellow/straw with a medium white head. Aroma is dry grassy hops, cereal, and dry biscuit malt. Taste similar to aroma with mild malt sweetness and dry hop spice. Clean, balanced and drinkable, a nice pils!
