On tap @ the brewpub. Clear, deep reddish brown body with a fine, big, creamy beige head. Aroma of caramel, malt, fruity hops with hint of Christmas spices. Flavor is malt, caramel, chocolate, fruity hops, well balanced bitterness and spices. It has a fine balance, not too sweet and not too much spices. This make the beer feel tasty and refreshing, the spices is subdued and becomes easier to detect when the beer heats up. A very pleasant Christmas beer.

On tap at the brewpub. A creamy, two-finger, beige head sits on top of an almost clear, dark amber body. A bit heavy on the cloves, with a nice Christmas spice touch. Dark malts and a touch of hops. Or maybe it’s just the orange peel. The clove scent mellows as the beer warms. It’s smooth, full-bodied and lightly warming on the palate, with flavors of roasted malts, spices and bitterness. Some orange peel. Bitter and roasted finish. A beer that starts a bit rough but turns out nice. 111201
