(50 cl bottle at Rotary Pub, Göteborg) A bit shady yellow color, big fluffy lasting white head. Very beautiful head when poured right. Estery banana typical hefe wiess scent, refreshing and summer like. Spicy, banana and sweet taste. Spritzy high co2 mouthfeel, like it should be in this type of beer. Low bitterness. Spicy, sweet and banana aftertaste.

500 ml bottle from Tesco. Slightly cloudy yellow with a large, loose, white head; cinnamon aroma; sweet and dry in the mouth with developing banana flavour; very dry finish. Overall a reasonable weissbier but lacking the depth of flavour of the best examples.

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2007 I was apprehensive trying a Ukranian bier. No need to be - this is a real humbdinger of a brew. A cloudy yellowness and sweet, citrussy weissbier flavour. It comes in a fake Erdinger bottle, which is amusing, but for me this is the real deal and, unlike some Ukranians we know, (i.e. Herr Schevchenko) this is no waste of money!

Rich aroma of herbs and spices. Cloudy mellow yellow in colour with a decent white head. Bit of a weird taste, similar to the weissbier classic but just off the mark. Rich after notes, slightly chemical after taste I’m afraid.

good aroma, good taste, but i found it extremely gassy, hard to get down more than half a mouthfull at a time. also, the bottle i was served was a little warmer than i would have liked.

Bottle, from Tesco. Hazy lemon gold, good lasting fluffy white head and good condition. Gentle lemony citrus nose with a gentle yeastiness, soft and slightly spicy in the mouth with some trace of phenolic cloves, lemon and fruity yeast, gentle dry spicy finish with a lingering fruity lemon edge.

[Bottled. Sampled at Haket, Göteborg.] Light hazy, pale yellow. Not the biggest of heads. Dusty estery aroma. Very clean, and the wheat was not notable. Fruity, lively mouthfeel with just a tiny bit of phenols. Big on Co2. Lacking in residual sugars, and it is pretty dry. Still quite tasty and a nice treat being from Ukraine.

Bottle, Tesco. Hazy straw color with a nice cap of white. Gentle banana aroma, hay. Spritzy light body--refreshing. Bright yeasty bread flavor, nice restrained esters. Cinnamon. Dry finish. A very pleasant and summery wheat beer.

UPDATED: SEP 4, 2008 Big creamy white head; clear pale yellow body with ongoing carbonation. Light bananaish aroma with spicy citric notes. Taste is again light banana and grain with some bitterness and chalk. Dry, grassy aftertaste. A light, drinkable weizen; well made, but a bit boring. (0.5l on tap in Yalta.)
