3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, from Tesco (thanks maeib), August 2005. This wheat beer, from the rather unpromisingly named "beverage plant" has been garnering a lot of plaudits. Its easy to see why, as Ukraine isn’t exactly renowned for its wheat beers. Clearly German styled and, whilst in Ukrainian terms it may be spectacular, compared to the genuine German article its decent but nothing outstanding. It has an authentic banana ester aroma, maybe with a slightly sweet, jammy, feeling. On the palate there’s a pleasing citric edge coming through to provide balance and prevent it becoming flabby. I’d certainly drink this again, but I was hardly knocked out.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Weissbier. Light cloudy gold, fluffy head that faded. Slight hint of cinnamon in the aroma. Gassy. Metallic tinge. Strong banana tone. Wheat. Not great, too metally a taste.

Excellent weissbier!! Lovely golden colour and typical fluffy white head. Lots of fresh spice on the nose and much the the same on the palate...a superb beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clody golden colour. Thick long lasting head. Lots of bananas in the aroma, hints of hops too. Flavor of bananas and cloves. A little thin in the aftertaste. It is a little watery. But better than many of the german ones.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Cloudy, light orange with a big persistent head. Aromas are mellow, sweet citrus with yeast and spices - quite fresh. Flavours are mellow lemon, wheat, yeast and gentle spices. Pretty good.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Saw it was from the Ukraine and so yes had to pick it up. Pours a cloudy yellow with a musty banana aroma, taste is a little weak but of peardrops !
Not the best example of this style but not bad either....doubt i’ll try again.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
I really don’t like this type of beer. Why did I buy this bottle? Because it’s from the Ukraine which is a great country that has suffered terribly. It’s mid gold in colour, slightly cloudy with a small head. Aroma is fruity and a bit musty. Taste is watery and bland with that rather artificial banana-pear thing and a hint of bitterness. They make great wines, though.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rated @ Stockholm beer festival. Hazy pale yellow with rich white head. Banana and earth in aroma and flavour. Loads of esters. Slightly to thin to make a perfect hefeweiss.
