Watery and a bit astringent, this beer is certainly not a 55. Strange hop flavors that were very off par from normal APAs.

Travilah Wine & Beer, Rockville 750ml ($7): Pours a brownish color with a white head. Aroma is of citrus and resin and a malt backbone. Taste is somewhat bitter, with a good balance struck with the malts. Overall, this is well-balanced and worthy of a drink.

Draft. Pours clear gold with off-white head; decent retention and lacing. Aroma is mostly citrus and floral hops with some bread malt notes. Flavor is initially malt, but quickly transitions to bitter, citrus hops. Medium body, light/medium carbonation, and low warmth.

750 mL bottle from Ye Old Spirit Shop in Frederick, MD. Pours a clear amber color with a medium frothy offwhite head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus and resiny hops with some nutty notes. The taste is bitter earthy, citrus hops with caramel and toasted malts. Dry. Fairly well balanced. Medium bodied. Nice.

Poured a pale amber color. Aroma has apricot and hops. Taste of resin and hops with some fruity notes. The balance is pretty good and there are some good malt flavors to balance out the hops.
