pours amber gold. Pretty good lacing but no head retention. The smell is mild but theres some honey malt there. Taste is pretty bitter. This is a little better than the stout i remember having from these guys. The bitterness has a lot of staying power on palate. On tap at volos

(Rating #3965)

[cask at Beau’s Oktoberfest] Nice blend of hops and biscuity/bready malt aroma with citrus and pine hops. Foggy bronze under a cover of large bubbles. Nice fresh hops flavour with an assertive bitterness up front that is balanced out by bready malt that is not sweet but still flavourful. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, moderately bitter finish.

4 oz on cask at Beau’s Oktoberfest 2011, October 2, 2011. Honey blonde, small head. Sweet aroma of hoppy peaches and grapefruit. Taste bitter herbs and grapefruit, a little dry, not very bitter after-taste. A pale ale quite easy to drink!
