Draught at ’Volo Cask Days 2008’. Pours a clear golden-orange with a spare diminishing white head. Aroma: Not bad, there’s a decent amount of resiny hops backed by caramel malt. Flavour’s not as good, the hops appear only in the finish and not in the initial flavour. Finish is a little astringent to me. Average bodied. All in all, a decent beer.

on tap at volo cask days 2008. clear orangish/brown with a nice white head. pungent hoppy aromas with caramel malt. flavours are a bit green, lotsa of low alpha hops in this one and spashes of caramel malt. very nice hop flavour with some bitterness. enjoyable but not mind blowing. a nice addition to the ontario craft scene. im looking forward to trying this at the brew pub.

Growler from the brewery. Bronze in colour with a small white head. Lots of fresh, citrussy hops in the aroma - cascade? Wonderful bitterness from start to finish, with enough caramel malt ot back it up. Fresh and crisp. Average to full body, and medium to low carbonation. A very good west coast pale ale.

2008-10-18. Crisp amber copper body with a modest quick head. (3+) Strange aroma, spice briefly, herbal hops, light greenery? (6+) Similar flavour, earthy herbaceous hops, modest bitterness throughout. Average palate. Grows on me after a rocky start, but I would like to see a bit more citrus from the hops for my own personal tastes. On tap @ Volo Cask Days 2008

Clear C hop aroma. Citrus taste, understated carbonatio like a cask ale. Grapefruit, like great IPA.Reinforcing his is the Mahogoney brown colour and the slightest crown of a head.
