Our first beer and still our most popular, a great American Pale Ale with a pleasant hop finish. Over the Rail Pale Ale got its name when our 10,000 pound Brew House went "over the rail" of our deck as we tried to get it off of the crane and into the brewery.

On tap at brewpub. Pour is clear orange/amber with a big white head and great lacing. Weedy, grassy, lightly resinous, caramelly, bready, and orange peel in the aroma. Taste is grapefruit, snappy, crackers, sweet caramel, ganja, weedy, and somewhat toasty with a medium bitter finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Not a bad pale ale, but nothing special...at least it tastes fresh.

On hand at Denver Summer Beer Fest 2012. Clear copper with a weird aroma like stale hops and sweat. Flavor is ok but has a metallic aftertaste. Throughout there is a bit of toffee and herbal hops, but that strong metallic finish is killer...

Pour on tap is clear orange with white head, aroma brought notes of pine, grass notes, hints of citrus, nice biscuit in there to balance with a touch of zest. Taste is a fairly nice mix of biscuit and caramel, touch of zesty spice, mainly some pine, grass, and citrus, finishing fairly dry and slightly bitter.

12 oz plastic cup draft at the Tiki Bar at the Dillon Marina (which is owned by Pug Ryan). Pour is a clear golden orange with a smallish off white head. The aroma is cracker malt along with a lighter bitter citrus and mild pine hop. Nice balance on the nose, fresh. The taste is the nose, a nice smooth cracker malt, with slightly sweet caramel, blended with the lightly bitter citrus pine hops. The palate is thin to medium, crisp quick finish. Smooth easy drinking beer, perfect for sitting on the dock at the marina.
