COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Refreshing ale served with blueberries in the glass. Pours golden-orange with a fine white head. Aroma of fresh blueberries, blueberry bread (floury), crystallized sugars and pepper. Sweet flavors dominated by mild blueberries with a malty background. Sweet fruity aftertaste with hints of pepper. Light-medium body, creamy and refreshing. Our Blueberry Ale is better enjoyed as an aperitif or with dessert. Keeping an open mind, it fits nicely with food plates which are slightly sweet in flavours (like some Cantonese dishes), or with any meat when served with a fruit based sauce (preferably blueberry, such as our Blueberry Ale Sweet and Mild BBQ sauce offered at our Barnyard BBQ) or with fruits in the stuffing. Some nice pairings: Cheese cake (with or without fruits), crème Brulée, Wensleydale cheese with Blueberries.

Pours a golden colour with white head. Blueberry aromas and flavours. Finish is a bit watery. Not too bad.

Can. Pours light yellow with a clear white head. Was expecting some red/blue/orange. Nope--Just standard lager colouring. Aroma of (artificial) blueberries and sugar. Overpowering. Interesting sort of "Jolly Rancher" blueberry flavour too it, but overall a disappointment.

Pours blonde. Actually some lacing. Smells a little of blueberry. Some crisp malt. Finishes with light astringency, cloying. Sours on the long term aftertaste. Tall can.

Really a lot of blueberry in the aroma. Like, a lot! Looks OK, pale, decent head. Taste is much better. Sweet but not cloying. Not bad overall.

Pours a straw colour with decent white head that leaves a nice soapy cap of white. Aromas of pale malts and blueberry sweetness. Flavour is blueberry though not too sweet, some mild pale malt and a light bitterness on the finish.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2012 On tap at brewpub, pours a clear light amber with a nice white head and leaves some lace. Smells like sweet blueberries and tastes even sweeter. Too much artificial blueberry flavor added but decent for a fruit beer.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2012 Has a very nice Blueberry aroma with not a too overpowering Blueberry taste. Blueberries taste does not go as well with the beer like apricots go with the Aprikat but still OK none the less.

For a fruit beer, this is pretty good. Prominent blueberry aroma. Taste is less pronounced, blueberry, malts, kind of watery. Better than average fruit beer.

341ml bottle pours a pale golden color with a finger and a half of white head with decent retention that leaves some thin lacing on side of glass. Aroma is light grain and hops with blueberries. Taste is blueberries with a light malty sweetness and a light hoppy bitterness with a trace of pepper rounding things out. Light to medium body and soft carbonation finish things off. A fruit beer done just the way I like them.
