Poured a golden colour and had a nice smell. A refreshing beer with high carbonationk, and taste was on the malty side.

(Rating #593)

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
a very fresh tasting beer just in at the LCBO. Was like the sahti/juniper berry I had the other day only more malty and hoppy. Dark yellow with initial very foamy white head. CLear blueberry scent and blueberry winish flavour. Somewhat maltdextrin sweet. Aggressively carbonated.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured a bright golden ale into my glass....2 finger rocky cap with fair retention that lightly laces the glass.
Aroma: a perfumey blueberry smell that verges on synthetic...very light grains...that’s it.
Decent malt spine, creamy mouthfeel, medium body, full rounded charater.
Taste profile is a surprise: very malty up front... creamy chewy malts then hops and blueberry tastes flood the palate creating perfect balance ...the Blueberry extract has been tastefully used in this brew and the flavor is not overpowered with it... it actually is at a level where it mingles well with the cascade hops leaving a juniper berry impression....finish is clean and hoppy/fruity...light malt and blue berry after taste.
Although the Blue berry flavoring is from extract it has been judiciously used to add to the overall flavor of the malt and hop mixture and does not over power thus avoiding the obvious sythetic impression extracts leave which I find obnoxious. For this reason I’m scoring this ale up there with other decent brew pub ales.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Botlle. Pours gold with redish tint , large fine frothy head on top. On top freshly picked blumbeies , herbal tea below . Neat. Crisp , herbal almost tea like with gentle bluebery hints. Clean ale , not to sweet , good malts below. It seems taht this one escepaed the fate of many other so called fruiit beers that were so thin and sickly sweet.

This ale poured a medium yellow colour with a great big white head. To the nose of course blueberry scents with dough and a bit of citrus. First sip was very nice with not an overpowering taste of blueberrys. Nice flavour with a little hopp to it. Palate was a little doughy with flavours of the hops lingering.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours an orange-gold body with a large long-lasting frothy white head. Powerful aroma of fresh blueberry bread along with crystalized sugar. Light creamy body. There is far less fruit flavour than the aroma shows - lots of bread and cookie-ish malt. Some blueberry tartness that seems to fit in nicely.
Quite interesting and moderately refreshing though not necessarily a session ale.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Maxwell’s Plum (Halifax, NS). Pald blond body topped with a thin but lasting white creamy head. Aroma carries pleasant flowery, herbal and fruity notes. Taste is thinner and less complex. It ends with a decent bittersweet finish. Refreshing.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
My bottle shared with Hogtown Harry and Blankboy. Light yellow, small thin white head. Decent fresh blueberry aroma - very nice. Taste of light blueberry, light malt, decent malt base. Nice light hops at the end. A really nice basic lighter style ale that happens to have fresh blueberries in it - quite pleasant!
