This is the first oktoberfest beer I have had so I might be a little biased. Had a big glass at the brewery. Aroma is fruity. Red Orange body with a creamy white head. Grain flavour with mild bitter finish. The finish is what I enjoyed the most out of this beer. Very nice can’t wait to go back

A: Poured with an average-sized, off-white head. Some spare lacing on the sides of the glass. Body is an amber/orange color, and quite cloudy. S: Mild, sweet aroma of malt, with a little nuttiness to it. T: Pretty good flavor of average malt, and moderately sweet. Short duration - doesn’t really last too long after it’s gone. The nuttiness is in there again, with the malt. M: Medium-bodied and creamy texture, with average carbonation. D: A very decent Oktoberfest, if not the best I’ve had. While it may not be overly interesting, it definitely is easy to drink.

[1847-20081103] Tap. Mild grains and mild fruity floral characteristics in the aroma. Slightly hazy, red orange body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Mild grains flavour has mild floral hops and finishes with fruity hops. Medium body has a mild bitter finish. Nice and drinkable, reminiscent of pumpkin fruit.

2008-11-03. Orange body beige head, mild fruity aroma, muted grains. Flavour is similar, light bitterness balances sweetish flavour. Does not display the degree of malt forward character I would expect from the style. Average plus palate. Just okay, but enjoyable. On tap at O’Carrol’s, Halifax

Back on tap as the new seasonal at the brewhouse. Hazy amber colour, low head. Sweet caramel malt flavour, simple, with a slightly fruity nuance to it. Not a stand out, but okay.

Sampled at the brewpub. Appearance: med. amber with a light tan head. Aroma: sweet, malty, a bit of sugary cereal. Palate: med. carbonation and body. Flav.: malty, with a touch of sweetness and a bit of alcohol on the finish.

(Rating #698)

Tap at the Brewpub. Orange amber colour with a mostly diminishing creamy off-white head. Pleasant caramel and orange aroma. Toasty cereal malt flavours witha caramel backbone and a light citrusy bitter finish. Light bodied and smooth.
