3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
341ml bottle. Pours a dark crimson/brown with a foamy off-white head that dissipates slowly, medium-strong retention. Aroma is mild toasted malt, hints of toffee, cocoa. Hop presence is significant, giving the bitter character, but the breadiness of the malt is what makes this beer. Well balanced, medium bodied ale that is easy to drink. Cheers.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the pub. Nice amber gold pour with lacy white head. English hop aroma, quite potent, light caramel but mainly hoppy. Flavor is quite hoppy as well, solid malty backbone but still almost overly hoppy for the style (Iím not complaining). Good.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at some bar in Calgary that served crappy food. Thanks to a bitterly cold evening we didnít want to explore the area so just kept ordering different items hoping to find the one they do well. But we never found it. Unless you count the beer. Like this one, which wasnít much to look at but featured a variety of hoppy and malty notes in perfect balance.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very nice bitter. Good smelling beer, nice floral hop throughout. Pours a pale amber, with a great head - lasting but not overbearing. Taste is a great bitter, with a touch of sweetness and the palate is perfect. Great long lasting aftertaste. Super beer

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a hazy yellow-gold colour with nice big soapy white head leaving a decent sticky lace. A great sweet biscuit toffee/malt aroma(smells like sweet wort) with slight fruitiness and a lemony hop presence. Flavour is malty(predominantly a light caramel) and a medium to high citrus/lemony bitterness. Great example of a S.O.B. i think i would prefer a little less carbonation.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a light amber. Aroma is very grainy with some herbal notes. Medium bodied with a creamy mouth feel. Initial flavour is biscuity malts and a touch of bitterness comes through and lingers with grapefruit and spruce notes. The flavours are nice in this beer, but thereís something about the mouth feel that was off putting.
