3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Lubiere (6707) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 18, 2011
A reddish amber IPA with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, a smooth floral hops, citrusy oulp, herbal and nice. In mouth, a nice floral hops with smooth malt, a bit thin but overall, nice. On tap at brewpub, July 4, 2011.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 lgklotet (432) - Singapore, SINGAPORE - JUL 12, 2010
On tap at the Clarke Quay location. Pours a hazy deep orange. Oozing with hop resin, wonderful aroma. Packs quite the punch when it comes to bitterness. I absolutely loved this beer. In fact, having tried the older version I actually thought somebody in the brewhouse had screwed up and missed a decimal point in the hops or something. This is by far the best beer being made in Singapore right now. Their new brewer and Fal are doing an absolutely stellar job of this!
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Oakes (9988) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 26, 2010
Golden amber and hazy. Some chewy herbal hop aroma. Sticky resiny bitterness. Not great IPA, but ok with sticky and some citrusy elements.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Beershine (4560) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - JUN 21, 2010
Draft @ brewpub. Dark amber with scant head. Hop-forward aroma is very nice, has a slight bit of ethanol in it though. Nice medium body. Good hop profile with lingering esters, really reminds me of a typical American brewpub IPA. Is balanced and has decent malt character. It is the best of the bunch we had at Pump Room this day.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 nate2g (1548) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 26, 2009
Draught at Pump Room, Singapore. Dark amber with a medium white head. Aroma and flavour of toasted malt, caramel and fruity hops. Nicely balanced. Great hoppy bitterness. Malty and fruity finish. A very nice English IPA.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20 ChrisThomson (522) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 30, 2009
On tap at brewpub, Amber in colour with tan head. Good hit of hops balanced with caramel malts. Second to Brewertz IPA for me, but still good.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Pyobon (517) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JUN 27, 2009
Draught at Pump Room. Clear golden broen with little head. Tangy hoppy aroma with a hint of orange. Medium body, modest carbonation. Excellent flavour. Malt and plenty of hops giving an tangy foretaste and a nice long bitter finish. Perhaps need a little more of something sweeter to balance the hops on the foretaste. Overall, an extremely good beer..
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 TerenceHua (87) - , SINGAPORE - FEB 19, 2009
UPDATED: MAR 27, 2009 Good interpretation and re-make of a classic IPA. Generously hopped with adequte hints of spice and sweetness. The hoppiness is as good as it gets. You can almost "feel" a mixture of differrent high quality hop cones in your mouth. Aromatic (in more ways than one) and not distastefully bitter at all. The hops component of this IPA is so intricately delectable. This IPA whacks your palate like a bat but hey, it’s an IPA; it’s supposed to do that. Solid body and sturdy heavenly scents. Brown with a copper hint, this brew is a looker. Would be good if the malt taste was a little more forefront though.
