from the 2007 Boulder Strong ale fest (and the brewpub). beautiful combination of cherries, alcohol from the impy stout and the chocolate flavors from the dark malt. A party in your mouth.

Draught at the Pumphouse Strong Ale Festival. Black. Very nice aroma with major cherry pie, but also milk chocolate and roast. Flavor is cherry pie. It could use more roast and malt elements to balance, as it’s a bit sweet to me.

sampled on tap at the 5th Boulder Strong Ale Fest. pours black with tan head, looks amazing. cherry is loaded in the nose. flavor is overwhelmed with cherry and is too sweet. mild roasted notes. where’s the chocolate and coffee?

Draught for Mountain Sun’s Stout Month. Dark crimson color; little head. Sour cherry, malty goodness with medium carbonation. I want to hump the oak barrels this fermented in. Alcohol % makes this great!
