Pure Gold 3.8% ABV is a refreshing Golden Ale. Made with English Maris Otter Malt and East Kent and Styrian Golding Hops, creating a surprisingly smooth, easy drinking beer with subtle citrus flavours.

Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, hop. Flavour is citrus, fruit, malt, hop, grapefruit, grass, caramel. Medium body. Ordinary beer. KRS 160814.

Pint from cask at Culpeper at a social, so short review. Hazy yellow, still, small bubbly white head, sparse lacing. Aroma is cheesy hop. Body is light, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is light biscuit, soft lemon and passionfruit, minerals, light bitterness. Very drinkable - the most quaffable of the four pints I had here.

From cask. Pours clear and golden yellow, small white head. Aroma is grassy, slight citrusy. Grassy, light citrusy and crisp hoppy. Light straw to frassy flavoured. Bitter, vague citrusy into a dry and slight herbal finish.

Cask at GBBF ’14, day 1, 12/08/14. Clear golden with a well appointed off white covering. Nose is on the thin side, not much doing, light citrics, straw, bready notes. Taste comprises light caramel, straw, orange, citric sherbets. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with light hop bitterness. Ok GB.

Sampled @ GBBF. Hazy yellow golden color, small white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, decently bitter, lightly hayish and grainy, a slight touch of citrussy hops hidden far away. Average body and carbonation.

Bottle. It pours a clear, golden body under a small, dense, white head. The aroma has citrusy hops with some grapefruit and grass. Pale malts and a touch of caramel and bread. It has a nice bitterness, with flavors of grass, grapefruit and pine cones up front. Bready malts in the back. Medium body, semi-dry and with a pleasant, soft carbonation. Bitter finish with pale malts, grapefruit and a bready touch. An easy drinkable one, and quite tasteful. 140816
