4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A beautiful bright amber appearance with a lovely fruity nose. An initial red berry fruit flavour is followed by a butterscotch middle and a superb long caramel malt finish balanced out with a nice hop background. A great traditiional british ale with a great appearance and branding. Lets get some younger people drinking cask ales!!

Boittle from Waitrose. Clear ruby body with a thin white head. Light carbonation. Faint lacing. Weak aroma of stewed tea. Flavour of bread, biscuit, tea and a light fruity note. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. No real depth of flavour but very drinkable.

Deserves higher score. Lovely amber ale. They call these bitters but itís the wrong word! Not bitter at all, smooth, sweet, real ale!

500ml bottle from Tesco in Windsor. English bitter brown. Not much head. Toffee with some honey but not too sweet. Some spicy hop.

Toffee, fruits, biscuits and some weak hops in the aroma. Amber with a off white head. Medium sweet and medium bitter. Light body with a average carbonation. Dry and slightly bitter finish. Overall totally OK bitter, but not something to repeat or remember.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A great ale from a great brewery. Little bit of spice, lots of toffee and a nice hoppy yet full finish. The bottled version doesnít keep its head well at all but it has a lovely rich, reddish brown colour. Worth a go for sure.

0.5l bottle. This is a clear light amber red colored one with a nice big bubbly off-white top. Mild aromas. I only get some malty sweet fruity nuances and a little bit of red apple zest. Mild but not bad at all. Tastes quite nice. Feels quite thin and almost what you could call watery in the mouth while the carbonation level is about average and small bubbled. Mild fruity flavors. It has a nice green bitterness but itís also well malty. Nuts are also present in this. Well crafted. Would not mild drinking this again. 21.12.2013

Very subtle aroma. Quite a generic taste. Thin head. Medium town colour. Fairly metallic taste. Quite bitter. Hardly any aftertaste. Drinkable, but nothing to write home about.
