Pint at The Eagles Inn, Llanuwchllyn, Wales. Great golden colour, floral English hops with fruity notes. Has a good rounded bitterness. Very refreshing. I look forward to many more pints of this on my future trips to Wales.

(bottle - 500 ml) Hazy amber pour with a thin white head. Odd aroma of semi-sweet malts and some grassy hops. Flavor is a bit odd as well. Overly bitter and slightly reminiscent of boiled vegetables. Not a fan.

There is no doubt about the fact that this is a great session ale. A kind of American style hoppy bitter edge to every mouthful. Clean dry ending. Fruity aftertaste.

Bottle. Light and easy drinking. Subtle flavours - malt and light citrus hoppiness, earthy aftertaste. Better on Cask but still pleasant.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. A clear, blonde ale, minimal head. Smells sweet and mildly hoppy. Taste is weak and watery but with a pleasant hops kick at the end, some ginger. Drinkable but not memorable.

3rd August 2012 saw me in ‘The Crown Inn’ Oakengates and having four hand-pulled pints of this fine brew.
Almost clear body of light amber/deep gold with a white, lasting head of bubbles.
Very floral nose: some malts in the aroma as well, but completely overshadowed by the floral hops. The taste is almost a reverse of the smell: the hops now playing second fiddle to the maltier content and only coming into their own as the mouth dries and a semi-bitterness arrives.
Medium bodied; and easy to drink (hence the four pints).
