crisp and clean. poured a clear wheat yellow, almost largery. head was firm and white until the final mouthful. slight aroma of hops, but no a more general sense of crisp cleanness! quite thin in the mouth but the carbonation was nice. the bitter was slightly too aggrasive for me, but nevertheless a very good beer. cask. Cask (GBBF2011, Thursday)
Sweet honey aroma. Very malted barley oriented. Touch of wooliness in the mouth, but mostly sweet malts. Dry late finish is good. Honey keeps popping up.

On cask at Cloisters. Pours a dark golden colour with a thin white head. An aroma of caramel, grassy hops and yeast. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 1/11/10. Deep gold with a slight white head. Sweetish aroma of apricot with a whiff of diacetyl and some grassy hops. Easy drinking, with more fruit, cereal malts and a decent bitter finish. Ok, despite the butterscotch.

From the P7 Ross Bar at GBBF’11, cask, one-third pint. Plain golden body. Naked surface. Hoppy nose of hay and a lemony touch. Sweet tropical fruits in flavour. Sweet fruity end with little bitterness (London, 03.08.2011).

[Cask at Y Branwen, Harlech] Golden amber with a large white head. A vague fruitiness, and a smattering of flowers in the dry finish, but it’s rather thin and there’s not a lot to it. Their Snowdonia Ale was better.
