Cask; Regular. Also available bottled.
A delightfully refreshing pale ale brewed with Pale and Crystal malts combined with a delicate combination of Pioneer, Styrian Goldings and Lubelski hops. First brewed for the Welsh Highland Railway’s ’Rail Ale Festival’ in May 2006 with a slightly different recipe. Now available all year.

Gravity dispense at the 23rd Battersea Beer Festival - 06/02/13. Clear light golden with a thin white head that retains well. Nose is pale malt, grain, fruit, light citrus notes. Taste comprises summer fruits, grass, a little hop presence. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, some bitterness in a dryish finish. Ok.

Cask conditioned at The Kings Head, Bridgenorth, Shropshire. Pale gold with white head. Thinnish, dry golden ale, sharp maltiness, drying, perhaps a little underpowered but ok.

Bottle. Golden, clear ale with a thin crown of a head. Honey and ginger aroma, quite rich, perhaps a hint of mint. Lightly bitter taste that lingers longer than the ABV would have you expect. Quite watery mouthfeel. A decent, solid, no frills but perfectly pleasant summer ale.

Never really keen on beers local to Snowdonia but I will give always give this one a spin (along with Dark Side of the Moose) having first enjoyed it on Snowdon one memorable camping trip. Light in colour, strong fruity bouquet and a citrusy bitterness. Tastes stronger than it is. A good one for summer, if not summer in North Wales!
