A good amount of hops balanced with a steady malt backbone, South Hill Pale Ale compliments our beautiful Pacific Northwest summer season. A perfect companion to summertime barbeques, enjoy with hot dogs, burgers, steak, chicken, salmon... oh heck, enjoy it with everything! Cheers! - Eric

Pours a cloudy amber yellow with a medium sized white head, and very good lacing. Smells of leaves, some caramel, hops, some malts, and a little wood. Taste is a little watery, caramel, hops, malt, and a earth. Ends on the creamy side and a bit bitter.

Hazy light amber, toasty, a little off, touch of bread mould...I don’t know, it’s a mellow brew but a bit if an off-note kind of ruins it.

Draft at the alehouse. Pours a pale gold with a loose and sudsy white head. Mild sweet grass and pine and nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toasty, sudbued mid palate, light caramel and some soft pine. Fairly clean finish.

Bottle:   Pale caramel, seemingly thick and hazy, large pillowy sandy head, nice lacing.   Soft sweet citrusy nose, a little candyish in its sweetness.   Also a very light earthy/soily malt like background.   Smooth on the tongue, soft hoppiness and certainly not very bitter.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Wished it were a little brighter on the tongue, but as is its probably closer to an actual Pale than an IPA (which so many Pales seem to wander into IPA territory out here).   Clean finish, a bit more hops seem to come through as this warms up a bit.   Fairly solid even if a bit average.   I only wished it tasted a little bit brighter, perhaps more citrus or floral aspects.   Otherwise very enjoyable.
