Valley Farmhouse IPA is a cross between a Belgian and an American IPA, Belgian yeast is used in this hopped up "Saison Nouveau" to deliver a great hop punch along with that classic funk that you’ve come to enjoy. Grains of Paradise, Green Peppercorns, Lemongrass are introduced to the boil at the last moment to deliver a very spicy and unique aroma and flavor profile. Enjoy!

Hazy light amber, thin head. Fruity, floral nose with light citrus. On the palate this is sweeter, with a light biscuity amber malt character and a touch of fruity hop.

Bottle:   Deep dirty amberish straw, thick, moderate foamy off-white head, nice lacing.   Soft funky nose, a bit citrusy, spicy, a little bready.   Much more funk on the tongue, a bit musty, yeast plays a big part of this one.   Hoppy, but not overly done or too bitter.   Could actually stand to be a bit more hopped up as the balance swings in the Farmhouse/Belgian yeasts favor.   Clean finish, musty, barnish, yeasty, bready, with a very soft citrus based hoppiness.   Tasty, but wished it had a bit more citrus punch to balance the somewhat heavier yeasty bits.   Does show a bit of soapiness after the finish, but guessing thats the comibnation of the spices used.

Bottle - thanks to glkaiser! Pours hazy amber with a small white head and decent lacing. Aroma is citrus, pine resin, dank, grass, yeast, black pepper. Flavor is peppery, piney, grassy, light sweet, light bitter, zesty. Medium body, creamy. This is a nice beer that really hits the sweet spot of the Belgian IPA style.
