Draft @ Deja Vu and other bars in the Phan Theit area as well as in Saigon. The beer is bright hazy orange, with a good white head and decent retention. Fresh hoppy aroma with lots of leaves, grass, minerals. Clean, soft mouthfeel. Dry finish. Nice floral hop profile and sweet malt character to balance. Reminiscent of Boulder Mojo. Beer tastes best in Saigon with much livelier, fresher flavors, closer to the source.

Medium white creamy lasting head over clear orange body with carbonation. Light bananaish aroma. Taste is again light spicy banana with a lightly acidic aftertaste. Not bad, and very drinkable, but not too interesting. (0.3l on tap.)

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2009 @ Moscow brewpub: Cloudy light tan colour. Very dusty, sweaty aroma with rye bread notes. Light flavour with some wheaty notes and a malty, slightly cantaloupy finish. 6-4-7-3-13 = 3.3

@ Mui Ne, Vietnam as Fifth Ocean Live Beer. Cloudy yellow-beige with a thin head. Lightly fruity and heavily yeasty aroma. Very fruity, berryish character. The malts are a bit thin, but overall a good Russian craft beer. 6-3-6-3-12 = 3.0. Scores are averaged, but weighted towards the motherland version.
